What Type Of Future Can Young Men Look Forward To?

On Christmas Day I spent time with four of my male cousins, ranging in age from 15 to 24. While I’m not quite their mentor, they are receptive to lessons I give them. With any man I talk to, I try to identify where he is in life and what his unique situation is to give advice that I think will help him reach his next goal. This year, however, I had trouble giving much in the way of advice or motivation.

The reason is because most roads today lead to dead ends, and I know this because I’ve pursued most of them. A man eventually gets spit out not that much farther from where he began.

  • I slept with dozens of girls around the world, but now I’m tired of it.
  • I traveled to two dozen countries, but now it’s boring because there’s nothing novel left to experience.
  • I make enough income to live a minimalist lifestyle indefinitely, but I don’t care for the comfort it gives me.
  • I’ve achieved a high level of fame and influence, with web sites that collectively served 88 million page views last year, but I’ve become accustomed to it. It’s no big deal.

sisyphus

Pursuing external experiences, objects, or sex with beautiful women made me joyous but only for a short period of time, and then I returned back to the same emotional level. Was it all a waste? Was it all for vanity? Whatever the answer, I surely can’t advise my young cousins to pursue hedonism, of banging hoes around the world for no other reason than to bang hoes, if it will fail to give them a lasting form of contentment. Instead, I could advise them to search for deeper meaning in life.

  • Dedicate yourself to God
  • Find a woman and have a big family with her
  • Give back to your community and make people’s lives better

These are better options, perhaps, but the times we live in will make them difficult to pursue. A God-fearing man would have to build high walls against the never-ending barrage of degenerate messages and sinful temptation that surround him. Raising a big family would provide a man with meaning as long as his wife didn’t take advantage of laws that encourage her to destroy the family and make the man financially destitute, and as long as the state doesn’t interfere in the raising of his children. Giving to others brings joy, as I can personally vouch for, but who exactly do you give to when your neighbor is from Somalia or Guatemala, and who may not even speak English, or when you’re actively being displaced and marginalized by your own government?

sisyphus2

With concerted efforts to destroy God, family, tribe, and nation, my cousins will find it a great challenge to encounter a meaningful path, especially since they were programmed from a young age to be weak, victimized, feminine, dependent, collectivist, and fearful. I have no doubt that they can transcend that programming, but I’m sure you agree with me that the path to self-awareness and independence has become difficult and dark in a way that it wasn’t for men of the past. My cousins will be isolated and attacked along their path. They’ll receive no mainstream support. Is this the road I want to send them down, a life of truth but filled with constant battle and vigilance?

In the modern age, a life of meaning for men is impossible to achieve without also having to perpetually fight. It will take the mentality of a warrior to defeat the forces that want to hold us back today, and I wouldn’t put any man in this fight unless it’s a fight that he wants. So this Christmas, I didn’t give much guidance to my cousins. I gave practical advice, but nothing substantial or revolutionary, because I know that unless a man believes deep in his soul that hope and meaning is out there, that a good future can be made for him, there is little that can be done. I’ll keep an eye on them and see how they develop, but wait for them to come to me with a decision that they much rather take the far more difficult path.

  1. “The reason is because most roads today lead to dead ends, and I know this because I’ve pursued most of them.”
Perfect summation of the reason I don’t have kids. And before someone comes in and tells me that “kids are the path that removes the dead end” allow me to point out that’s sentencing my potential children to a life where they will eventually realize that the only meaning is to procreate. If that is, in fact, all there is to it, we need to join the voluntary human extinction movement.
Young men (and women, perhaps even more so) have a tough road ahead of them, especially if they are in the 50% of the population with below average intelligence. As computers and technology continue to improve, the need for low IQ workers will continue it’s slide towards 0. 10-20 years from now, almost everyone working in the transportation sector will be out of a job. That’s 10-20% of the population with their jobs vaporized by computers. And sure, some of those guys will go to work programming the computers that drive cars/planes/etc. But most won’t, because they don’t have the IQ to do that kind of work.
The world becomes more and more IQ loaded every day. Being born today with even a “moderately high” IQ means that you may never really be able to enter the professional workforce. It’s an existential problem for which I see no reasonable solutions other than more breeding for high IQ people and less for low IQ. Absent that, war or massive welfare/guaranteed income are going to be paths forward.

    1. Having children is about more than procreating.
i do agree about the problem of IQ. My solution was to seek honesty in people regardless of intellect. It’s how I ended up hanging in biker circles. Honest, straight forward men who still have honor. Beats the living shit out of hanging with deceitful “higher IQ” office types any day of the week. I just don’t let them know that I can go medieval polysyllabic when speaking.

      1. Gays can adopt these days. Don’t worry, you can carry on your legacy and still love cock xxx

  2. Sounds a lot like the book of Ecclesiastes.
Roosh, I’m glad you are maturing and learning these lessons before you become an old man. In this, you may have done better than Solomon (generally regarded as the author of Ecclesiastes).
At the end of the day, it seems to me that a genuine and robust Christian faith is the only meaningful pursuit in life. I don’t mean the modern weak cowardly soft effeminate Christianity we see around us here in the West.
I mean the real deal, the Faith of the Apostles. I am talking about the Faith that Paul was beaten, imprisoned, and shipwrecked for. The Faith that Stephen (and most all of the original 12 disciples) died for. I am talking about the Faith of men like Moses, Enoch, Abraham, Jacob, Daniel, Caleb, Joshua, Jeremiah, Elijah, Gideon, and David. The Faith of men like Polycarp, Athanasius, Augustine, Martin Luther, Jon Knox, John Calvin, John Bunyan, Jonathan Edwards, and Charles Spurgeon.
None of those men were perfect. They all had many sins, and failings, yet they had an abiding faith in the Person and Saving Work of the Lord Jesus Christ. They knew that He is risen, and is seated at the right hand of the Father on high. They knew that He will return one day to bring everlasting life and joy to those who trust in Him.
Genuine Christianity is radically patriarchal, radically powerful, culture transforming, and culture creating. Men like those, help to build a better world here and now, largely because they dwell not on the here and now, but look to the Heavenly city of God, and the resurrection of the dead.

    1. It would seem our prayers for Roosh have had an effect.
Join the Baptist side! We have potluck!

        1. You ever had the hot (temperature wise) German version of potato salad? It is very different, but still good.

        2. “I love potlucks”. Spoken like a true Baptist.
Make your own sweet tea and less sweet.

        3. Yeah, but I’m a cold potato salad guy. Pickles, onions, celery, blue cheese dressing in with they mayo.

        4. Wow! Blue cheese. I’ve never had that in my potato salad.
I do like throwing a little bit of Wasabi in mine.

        5. Same idea. It’s something to give it a bit of a different taste. Blue cheese since it’s creamy and blends right in with only the streaks to show it’s there. Wasabi would be something to try.

        6. I am pretty much a Baptist, but one of the Old School Calvinistic variety like Spurgeon, or Bunyan. (I attend an SBC church)

        7. Personally, I like just a hint of sweetness in my iced tea. I am from the Western US, but lived in the South for a number of years.

        8. That looks pretty cool. I’d like to do a little Korean BBQ action with that puppy, or maybe some Asada, or lingua for tacos.

      1. Wouldn’t it be humorously ironic (and glorious to God) if Roosh ends up being one of the Elect. Time will tell.

    2. Bart, honest question no trolling here. What is your opinion of men who simply find no reason to believe in god? Do you believe us to be fools? Evil? Deluded? Neutral?
Do you believe a person can offer society something while being an atheist?

        1. Bart went to Ecclesiastes for Roosh’s post but your question gets Romans.
As far as atheism goes, Romans 2 references Jeremiah 31: “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.” Everybody is shown God through general revelation. If you “simply find no reason”, it’s because you’ve suppressed it. It’s visible everyday in the regular world. Every breath you take is granted from Him.
Romans 1:19: “For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them…. so they are without excuse.” Further on down, “God gave them up to dishonorable passions…. and since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind.” God can only be trifled with for so long before His Hand is taken away, Common Grace is lifted and you’re left without His shepherding. It’s a truly frightful place.
Can a person offer something to society? Sure, but we’re not about society. We couldn’t care less about it, really. Can you offer something to God? Romans 3: “None is righteous, no not one; no one understands, no one seeks for God.” Atheists (as if there were such a thing) cannot do good for the benefit of Christ since they’re not given Faith. Isaiah 64 gets reflected upon later by Paul: “… and all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags.” You cannot work your way into Heaven since all deeds done for “good” works are sinful unless done to the Glorification of God.

        2. Interesting, but that answers more what the bible says.
And if it’s “put into hearts and written into minds” why is there more than religion?
Why are we also given reasoning ability that conflicts with faith?
If a person comes up to you on the street and says god just “wrote on to his mind” do x or y you accept that and say “go ahead” or think them mentally ill?
And if you’re just doing something for the glorification of god, to avoid punishment, are you really good?

        3. “And if you’re just doing something for the glorification of god, to avoid punishment, are you really good?”
No, you’re not, if it’s only to avoid punishment.
You’re supposed to be good just for the love of God.

        4. “That answers more what the Bible says.” Well, yes. It’s the Word of God, after all.
Why is there more than one religion? The works of men. If you look closely, every other religion is one of works. Do this, God loves you (their god). Do this, be rewarded. Christianity is the only Faith that is just that. Believe in Christ’s atoning sacrifice, be saved. That’s all. Now, there’s “Yes, He existed” faith and “He died to atone for me” Faith. Big difference.
Reasoning ability does not contradict Faith, it’s encourages it. Sit down and read the Gospel of John. Then Matthew, then Romans. Then go back to Psalm 22 and read what was prophesied hundreds of years before Christ and before crucifixion was even invented. Then read Isaiah 52-54. Your reasoning ability is given to you by Him.
If someone approaches you like that, he’s mentally ill. God does not “write on his mind” anymore. The canon of Scripture is closed. That’s why Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Kenneth Copeland et al are heretics. God does not speak to us anymore except through His Word.
Those are two different ideas. You do not do things for the Glorification of God to avoid punishment. You do them because Solo Deo Gloria (Only for the Glory of God). You do them because He wants you to not to avoid punishment. There is no punishment for those who are Saved.

        5. Reason doesn’t conflict with faith in the least.

        6. “That’s why Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Kenneth Copeland et al are heretics. ”
You are insane if you really believe that. As is every other religion who believes they “found the way” and everyone else is a heretic. So kids in Africa who’ve never heard of Jesus burn in hell because they never were introduced to the “right” guy to worship?
The only possibly consistent statement is that we’re all praying to the same god and that “any faith” is faith in him. If you believe that there’s one “right faith”, you’re clinical and about 3 steps from putting on a suicide vest. There are just so many logical flaws that simply cannot be closed when you start down the “right religion” path. Perhaps the most effective, what if you’ve never heard of the right religion? Straight to hell? Often this is explained away as “those who don’t know are automatically saved”. Well, if that’s your real view, the WORST thing you could do is tell anyone about your religion. By informing them, you put them at risk of eternity in hell. If you let them lead their lives blissfully unaware, they get an “gimmie”.
I’m sorry, religion has a role in many people’s lives and for that I’m generally accepting. But, as soon as you take it to the level of “real belief” you’re starting down the route to insanity. If there is a god, he wants you to live a good life. We all know what that is without a book and without spending every weekend kneeling and praying. Be good to others, don’t hurt people, apologize for your mistakes and try to correct them. Does this really require regular indoctrination to understand for the majority of the population?

        7. Do you believe in ETERNAL punishment for those who simply don’t believe? Let’s say a person doesn’t murder, rape, cheat, lie etc. If that person is not a christian (or says they are but secretly thinks it’s a lie) they have only eternal torment to look forward to?
If so that’s not a merciful god, that’s one of vengeance and petty rage.

        8. Oh, how cute and quaint. A non-Christian telling us how God *really* thinks.
Have you thought that perhaps your non-belief, gnashing of teeth and such proves our Faith on a daily basis? We appreciate that, thanks.

        9. “Reason doesn’t conflict with faith in the least.”
Go read the book of Genesis then take a trip to the natural history museum and report back.
Faith is absence of reason, almost by definition. If you use reason, you have absolutely no valid argument for proof of, or faith in any god or god like figure. You have to take it “on faith” that what’s in the Bible (or whatever book you choose) is the answer, it can’t be “tested” which, again, is the way you make a rational decision, rather than one based in faith.

        10. I like Dante’s vision of Hell : the first circle of Hell is the Limbo in which virtuous unbelievers end up. Their only punishment is not seeing God.

        11. It is my conviction that Hell is the just punishment for treason against the infinitely holy, glorious, Creator and Ruler of all. Even the smallest offense against an infinite Being is an infinite crime and merits an infinite response.
Sadly, every single one of us has committed this crime. We are already condemned.
Jesus Christ (innocent God/Man of infinite value) died to pay the penalty for our crime. Faith in Him is the only way to escape the justice we deserve.

        12. Faith is belief without proof. Nothing more, nothing less. Reason is a logical tool to used to explore the natural world via the natural sciences. One can wholly accept the entire universe being subject to Reason and Logic, without having to discard faith.
End of the day, every scientific hypothesis about the origins of the universe relies *exclusively* on faith too.

        13. Yes. Being saved is the only way to avoid Hell. The Ten (11, if you ask Jesus) Commandments do not lead to Salvation. They show one’s need for it. James 2: For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” Did you put anything ahead of God? Broke all 10.
Jesus’ 11th Commandment: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved
you, that you also love one another. (John 13).
No, it’s still mercy. First, because he hasn’t thrown you into Hell yet. He waits for all those who would answer His call so that none will be missed (John…17?) Secondly, because you have the opportunity to avoid it. Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and nobody comes to the Father except through me.”

        14. Where did I tell you what god “really thinks”. I told you what’s rational and reasonable, and, IMHO, believing that most of this world is going to hell because they never heard of your particular religion is insanity.
Unless, of course, you disagree that your god want’s you to live a good life and be kind to others. In which case, again, please let me know where you’ll be when you strap on the bomb vest so I’m nowhere nearby.

        15. I have faith that one day you’ll see sense and know we’re meant to be Jeffy xxx

        16. Well my problem is not with the people doing charitable things for god, it’s more the violent or harassing. If they want to donate their time at a soup kitchen, cool go.

        17. I’d like to conflict with your cock Jeffy boy 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😝😛😛😜😜😝😝😛😝😜😜😜😝😛😛😝😜😜😝😛😛😝😜😜😝😝😜😜😛😛😝😝😜😝😛😛😝😜😜😝😝😛

        18. Where? Here: If there is a god, he wants you to live a good life. What’s rational and reasonable is Faith in the Saving Work of Christ.
Surely you’ll be able to point to a Christian “strapping on the vest”, yes? Or maybe God’s instructions in the Bible to do so? Yeah, thought not.

        19. “Faith is belief without proof. ”
Agreed, however, there IS proof that the book of Genesis is not correct. And, given that it’s kind of an important part of the whole story, proof that it’s wrong while at the same time maintaining the rest is correct is flying directly in the face of reason.
“End of the day, ever scientific hypothesis about the creation of the universe relies on faith too.”
Absolutely, which is why until they have a consolidated proof, I regard that as a fairy tale as well. However, we know, for a fact, that the current theory about the creation of universe is a hell of a lot closer to reality than everything being created in 7 days. In short, the “big bang” is a lot more believable and likely a fairy tale than the book of Genesis.

        20. I’m not just talking the Big Bang. Every hypothesis of the origins of the universe comes completely from faith. There is no more proof for them than there is for Genesis, nor can there ever be any more proof simply by the fact that prior to the universe there was no way to quantify, measure or in any way observe. All theories in science about the origins are thus speculation based on unprovable assertions, as will be all future ideas about its creation no matter how “science based”.
There is no such thing as “proof that the book of Genesis is not correct” at all. One does not prove a negative, that’s unscientific and contrary to the rules of logic.

        21. Oh Jefferson, why won’t you admit your love for me and tell me how your big manly cock throbs every time you think of me?

        22. When’s your birthday Jeffy? And do you have any pets? I feel like we should get to know each other xxxx

        23. Yeah that’s not happening.
I can think of a handful of people (literally less than 5) people in history who deserve torture for even 1,000 years let alone eternity.
Eternal punishment is cruel, cruelty man is not capable of.

        24. Well, I wouldn’t go that far. We know how planets were formed, we know where moons come from, we know a lot about how the universe works and how things happen. However, let’s forget that for a second and say that none of that is right or verifiable.
We KNOW that the book of Genesis is wrong. The world was not created in 7 days. Man did not walk with the dinosaurs and was not here when diamonds were being forged in the center of the planet. You can argue that everything after Genesis is true, but Genesis is hogwash and science can prove that, without question.
Of course you can prove a negative. “I am not a woman” is a negative, it’s true, and it can be proven. For the book of Genesis to be “not correct” we just need to find something that can be proven as false. And we have, over and over again.

        25. “Eternal punishment is cruel, cruelty man is not capable of.”
And if you believe it’s a possibility, anyone bringing a child into this world is responsible for cruelty beyond measure. What if your child doesn’t believe? What if you’re killed before they turn 1 and the mother raises them as another religion? If you put that much power in selecting the “right” religion and believe in eternal damnation, you must, by proxy, forgo having children for their own sake and safety.

        26. Collective guilt is a horrible concept. It has a terribly marxist overtone, like “white privilege”.

        27. Oh Jeffy, why don’t you love me Jeffy, are you seeing another man behind my back?

        28. Well, I wouldn’t go that far.
Then might I suggest you ponder it a bit, and consider that I have pondered it, a lot. If you don’t think I’m right, then examine every scientific theory of origin that you know of or can find, and demonstrate how it could be proven.
I can save you some time. There’s either “it began with X event” or “it’s always existed”. String, super string, explosions, what have you. “Always existed” is easy to dash out, simply because you can’t measure infinity, you have no frame of reference to relate to reality to do so as you have no starting or end points. It defies measurement by definition, so it can’t be qualified or proven, you simply have to…accept…that it is so. Faith. And of course, as I mentioned earlier, if you posit that it didn’t exist then did exist through whatever method, you’ll be hard pressed to show how it just suddenly appeared. What, a little dot of everything just appeared out of nowhere and exploded for reasons you cannot show or prove since there was no way to measure, observe or qualify them? Well then, faith it is.
The world was not created in 7 days.
Or, it was. I have no way of knowing or proving it. It’s a universe creation story, not just the earth, btw. Everything. One day nothing then “let there be light” and everything else flows from there. The Big Bang tells us everything appeared from out of nowhere in a few nanoseconds, so I don’t think arguing time spans is going to benefit you.
But back to my point, there is no conflict between reason and faith. Each has a place within a certain context. I wouldn’t use Reason and Logic to try to talk to God, nor would I use Faith to try and dissect atomic structure. You use the tool for the appropriate job, not as a one size fits all hammer, which is where I’m certain most atheists totally fall off the bus.

        29. The concept of Imputation is one of the most difficult believe, and yet most important doctrines in Christianity.
This system of thought may be repulsive to our minds, but it is internally consistent (and I believe true).
The Bible seems to portray our father Adam as somehow representing all of us, when he rebelled against God. We all fell in him, and were condemned in Adam.
The theological term for that is Federal Head. Adam was our Federal Head. He sinned, and we became guilty sinners.
Then, we follow up on that by adding our own personal sins of rebellion against God. We rebel because we are rebels.
Somehow salvation in Christ comes the same way.
Christ is an alternative perfect Federal Head who did not rebel against God, but rather perfectly pleased God the Father (of course Jesus could only do this because He is God the Son, both fully God and fully man).
Christians are accepted by God as perfect (even though they aren’t in themselves good) because Jesus is perfect, and Jesus death on the cross perfectly pays for their crimes.
Christ pleased God the Father, and by Faith, Christ becomes my Federal Head and I am accepted by God.
So, we are all either “in Adam condemned”, or “in Christ justified”.

        30. “The world was not created in 7 days.”
Your (intentionally?) missing the point. Let’s assume the world was created in 7 days. On the 6th day, man was created. Which means that, given the fossil record, man and dinosaur must have lived together. Which we know is not the case.
Honestly, if you really believe the story of Genesis, it’s like trying to argue that Alice in Wonderland is a true story. We know it’s wrong. Sure, we can make up ways to “interpret it” that can make it somehow fit the narrative (billions of years between the 1st day and 2nd, for example). But that’s a hell of leap.
Yes, I freely admit we have no idea what caused the Big Bang. And it honestly doesn’t matter. I never claimed that my “book” was the word of god. It’s the word of men, and it could be wrong (almost certainly is). But I’m not basing my life on it, not spending my weekends praying to the big bang or physics equations. Not blowing people up because I don’t like the way they did some quantum physics equation. Rational thought does not “break” when you don’t understand something. Faith that the bible (or whatever book you believe) is the WORD OF GOD means that it must, by proxy, be infallible. One mistake, and it’s obviously not the word of god.

        31. Even among IVth century Christian scholars (sorry I can’t remember their names… ) it was understood that Genesis is to be understood metaphorically and philosophically, not literally. The seven days are not seven days of our time. Eve and Adam symbolise our conscient souls being trapped into ape bodies.
You’ll find interresting to know that for example the Big Bang Theory was developped by a Belgian Catholic priest Georges Lemaître.

        32. Let’s assume the world was created in 7 days. On the 6th day, man was created. Which means that, given the fossil record, man and dinosaur must have lived together. Which we know is not the case.
But that’s a hell of leap.
If there was no universe prior to God creating it, how precisely do you know how long a day is? It’s a linguistic issue more than some great philosophical insight that denies God. A day as we know it is 24 hours long, sunrise to sunrise. Without a universe there is no context to define day (no sun, no time, nothing), however to communicate to people whose only reference is in terms of days (months, years, decades, etc. all derivatives of a day) what would you say? The universe was created in 3 conqularks? It’s the challenge of trying to comprehend infinity, it just can’t be done, so we use short hand. Seems like nothing more drastic or “hell of a leap” than integrals being used to get around infinite numbers in math. Would you say integrals are fantasy and a stretch?
          And it honestly doesn’t matter.
In the context of this discussion, where faith is being disavowed, it most certainly does matter. I mean you’re holding me to that point with “you can’t prove!” so it’s fair to return the same to you.
One mistake, and it’s obviously not the word of god.
The Bible is a compendium put together after Christ died (the New Testament I mean, not the Old). It was put together by men. As such, there’s little doubt that they left out things or put in things out of context.
God’s word is found in your heart. That’s where the true God’s word is. Or isn’t. Some people deny and are rudderless, others deny and adopt a philosophy and get along fine in life as far as it goes.
I never claimed that my “book” was the word of god.
And I’ve never claimed that the Bible is a text book of Physics.
I cede every single thing in the universe that can be proven by science, to science. I give you everything there. But I do this because I know that ultimately, you’ll run up against a wall which has no answer and which will force you to accept faith as valid. Maybe it will take to the ends of the universe, but ultimately you’ll have to come down to faith too. I’m comfortable with it, doesn’t bother me in the least, I simply accept that God made the universe and that I can’t prove it. If I’m wrong, then I lose nothing. If I’m right, then I gain everything. And vice versa for you.

        33. Sorry, but if you believe this is the “word of god” and also, at the same time “a fairy tale that requires interpretation”, something’s wrong. Why would an all powerful god give us a fairy tale?
And, even if you view them metaphorically, on the 6th day man and animal were created. On the same day. After the 5th day when all whales were created. No matter how you look at this, it’s wrong. Dinosaurs (animal) would have been created AFTER whales. And that’s wrong, that’s not how it happened.
Also, on the 4th day, god created the planets and THEN created the stars. Again, something we know is wrong.
If you want to view it as a fairy tale, then, yeah, it’s a cool story. But, if this is the word of god? Why would he make mistakes like this? And why not mention something that would SHOW US that this is in fact the word of god?

        34. That does seem like a point many people get hung up on. The Bible could have just as easily said “God’s first act…God’s second act….”. I think the referring to days is more about being poetic or like you said, putting it in terms that men of the time could fathom.

        35. Jeffy, why have you forsaken me?????😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

        36. I can go all night Jeffy, can you? 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

        37. It’s literalism, which is fine insofar as it can be useful sometimes, but the last time I sat down to dissect the literal points of a poem by Lord Byron I came away highly disappointed and missed the experience of the poem entirely.
The nice thing about literalism however is that I can do it right back and to the power squared. Once I got comfortable with allowing science to be science, and faith to be faith, and realizing that neither have anything to do with the other, then it all smoothed out.

        38. Bottom or top? Bottom or top? Bottom or top? Xxxx😜😜😜😜😝😝😝😛😜😛😜😜😝😛😝😜😜

        39. ” I know that ultimately, you’ll run up against a wall which has no answer and which will force you to accept faith as valid. ”
No. I would never take it “on faith”. It becomes, “I don’t know”. Or, hopefully, “I don’t know yet”. “God did it” isn’t anymore valuable than saying “Pixie dust will fix your network, just sprinkle some on” when I don’t know how to fix something.”
” If I’m wrong, then I lose nothing. If I’m right, then I gain everything. And vice versa for you”
Only if you’ve picked the “right” religion. And believing that most of the world is going to burn in hell because they choose badly is just beyond comprehension. If that’s really what god wants, he can keep his heaven; there’s nothing there for me. Putting man into a craps game for his ETERNAL SOUL is unacceptable.

        40. Oh Jeffy 😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

        41. Jeffy Jefferson, I love you 😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😝😝😛😛😜😝😝😝😜😜😝😝😛😝😝😜😜😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

        42. Why would an all powerful god give us a fairy tale?
Why not? Why should His creation and how He expresses it work under your terms?

        43. You’re such a tease my love dxxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

        44. And you’re getting hung up on the days too. Look at what happened on each day, it falls apart there too.
          First day:
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
          Fourth day:
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.
The stars were made 3 days after the sun? The sun a relatively young star, how exactly was the feat accomplished?
          Fifth day:
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.
          Sixth day:
24 ¶ And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Bird were created a day before any land animals. We know that’s wrong, the fossil record tells us that. Also, on the 6th day, all land animals were created. Which means man and dinosaur must have walked the earth together (or they forgot to mention the “putting false fossil records” as one of the steps for day 5/6″). We know this is wrong. All “beasts” were not created at the same time. Some were dramatically later than others. And man, for sure, was not created anywhere near the same time as most of the other beasts created, even though they were all on the same “day”.

        45. Lord Byron was not trying to claim divine power/authority. The bible is. Therefore, its held to a much higher (perfection) standard. This is the literal word of god here, it cannot be wrong or it’s invalid. This is why analysis of the book of Genesis is so important.

        46. The point wasn’t that Byron was claiming anything, but rather that by being too literalist one is apt to miss the higher meaning of any work.
There is no standard of perfection to a book put together by men at a Roman emperor’s command. There are a lot of books of the New Testament that were left on the floor by scholars. You seem to be relying on the stereotype of me being a “We ain’t come from no damn apes” Southern Baptist type. You’ll probably want to change your tactics, as I’m not.
But this is beside the point. Faith and science are not contradictory. Faith belongs to the realm of faith and the spiritual, science to the realm of the natural world. They are mutually exclusive realms.

        47. I’m not talking New Testament, I’m talking Old Testament. Is that not the literal word of god? Or is it in fact a fairy tale written by men to understand a world where they had no better way to explain the way things worked around them?

        48. OK, if you accept most of the bible as a fairy tale, I’m with you, it’s an entertaining book. But to hold it up as the word of god and a fairy tale at the same time seems logically inconsistent.
The gyrations that the religious have to go through to justify their belief seem extreme to me. Seems like a lot of work to avoid having to deal with mortality and striving to live a good life without the specter of eternal damnation hanging over your head.

        49. The Word of God is written in your heart. The Bible as a whole is a good guide, but you’re relying on me falling back on the standard Protestant view that it is the only thing you need to understand God and that it is absolute. There’s a reason that the Catholics generally didn’t own Bibles for most of their existence, and came to priests who (presumably) were in direct communion with God (word in their hearts) to interpret. You may assume that I don’t take the Protestant tack to most things.
How will your scientists write their tomes appraising their newfound faith when they realize that they cannot ultimately prove the creation of the universe without relying on faith, I wonder? Wish I could see those times come to pass. My guess is that they’ll just punt and cover it in a lot of math and latin and hope nobody notices, heh.
Reason and faith are not at odds, they are tools for purposes not related to one another. This is the seed of my argument and one which as of yet has not been demonstrated to me to be incorrect.

        50. I literally want to fuck your brains out 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

        51. Quite so. And the tool of science is valid within it’s proper framework. I see no schism whatsoever. I don’t use science to create philosophy (impossible to do), nor do I use faith to will atom bombs into existence.

        52. I’ve never understood the very, very modern notion that we should be angry because religion and faith exist in tangent. I understand excluding religion from the realm of science as a tool, makes perfect sense, but to rabidly attack attack attack as if allowing faith to exists will make the universe collapse has always seemed…illogical.

        53. Not as a fairy tale, an allegorical depiction.
Augustine of Hippo is the name of the Christian scholar I was referring to, by the way.
Also, and I’m no biologist so I will stop there after that, aquatic life preceeds Dinosaurs. If you understand it as Saint Thomas Aquinas did in the XIIIth century, the “Whales” could design early form of aquatic life.
It was written to make it understandable to the people of that time, and understood that way by many scholars.

        54. It’s the deeper questions a Man must ask himself. On the surface Science appears to be able to explain everything, but it’s the conversations that a Man has with himself about the Origins of Life and existence that begin to direct a Man towards the belief in God. The big bang , and the Idea that Nothing generated existence, just doesn’t play out as possible when you really think about it…unless of course it was triggered by something…something like God.

        55. I never said it was a fairy tale, don’t put words in my mouth. It’s a Book which is not a book of science, which is meant to help a man meditate on God and receive his Word into one’s heart. Each man was never meant to be his own Pope, which any trad Catholic will tell you even today, which means that there’s more to faith and religion than one book. You’re arguing against a Protestant who does not seem to be a part of this conversation.
The gyrations that the religious have to go through to justify their belief seem extreme to me.
No moreso than the contortions that people taught by Marxists to loath religion go through to try and eliminate religion from existence. Of the two, I’ll go with a bit of interpretation over the vehement dogmatic prosecution that atheists generally try to do to me (not you particularly, you’ve been quite polite).
Seems like a lot of work to avoid having to deal with mortality
All religions institute a moral code, so we deal directly with morality all the time.
EDIT: I misread, thought you said morality, my mistake.
and striving to live a good life without the specter of eternal damnation hanging over your head.
All moral codes rely on rewards and punishments, even the most earthly atheist ones. There’s no getting around it.

        56. Oh Jeffy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

        57. Jeffy baby 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😞😜😜😜😜😜😜😣😝😝😝😝😝😜😜😜😜😝😝😝

        58. I love you Jeffy 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

        59. Me and you are a fairytale Jeffy baby 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

        60. The Crusades are a response to Orthodox Christians from the Bizantine Empire calling for help against muslim invasion and a reaction to Muslim slaughtering and ransoming of Christians pilgrims.
And, according to the Jewish historian Henry Kamen, the Spanish Inquisition did less victimes that the secular justice of that time.
And by the way, as I said before, Christian men are as flawed as any so some will do terrible things yes.

        61. On a side note. What in the heck did you drag in here? If “that” is a friend from a Ted Cruz forum, I have to say, it’s time you get in Trumps Camp.

        62. God gave me you Jeffy! I thank him for it every day 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😍😍😝😝😝😝😍😍😘😜😜😜😝😍😍😘😜😉😛😉😘😝😍😍😉😉😉😘😝😍😝😜😉😛😛😜😘😝😍😝😜😛😉😘😝😍

        64. Jeffy my one true love, will you ever tell me if you’re a top or bottom?
          😍😍😍😍😘😜😝😉😛😉😉😝😜😘😝😉😉😝😜😘😘😜😝😉😛😝😜😘😍😜😝😉😉😜😘😍😘😉😉😛😝😘😘😜😝😉😉

        65. Let’s have a fairytale together 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😍😍😍😘😛😛😘😍😍😘

        66. Definitely a bottom, they’re always coy 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        67. Jeffy 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😜😜😍😍😜😜😘😛😛

        69. Me and you makes magic xxxx😍😍😍😍😘😜😜😝😛😘😘😍😍😛😛😛😛

        70. Jesus loves you Jeffy, as do I xxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

        71. I know what I’d like to put I your mouth Jeffy baby 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😘😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        72. Wrong. It becomes on faith. If the universe did not exist at one point (Big Bang, but not necessarily the only science based theory on this) then there’s no way to explain its sudden appearance and explosion. You will never know because without a universe there is no matter, no movement and no way to measure or quantify, nothing to postulate since there is literally nothing and no way to prove anything since there are no means by which proof can be produced.
If it’s infinity, well, infinity is un-proveable by definition.
So in summary, you’ll not say “I don’t know, yet”, if you’re being rigorously truthful, you’ll have to append “Nor will I nor anybody ever know”.
          Welcome to faith.
Saying God did it is indeed no more logical than saying “it’s existed forever” or “it appeared out of nowhere and exploded for no reason”, granted. And I’m comfortable with that. I have faith and am quite at ease with the fact that not I, nor you, nor anybody can ultimately know everything. I simply can’t know, and that’s all right.
” If I’m wrong, then I lose nothing. If I’m right, then I gain everything. And vice versa for you”Only if you’ve picked the “right” religion.
Well yes, no kidding. And you can’t measure a mile unless you pick the right tool either. Should we declare measurement thus invalid because you can’t pace off a mile accurately by throwing water in the air?
Putting man into a craps game for his ETERNAL SOUL is unacceptable.
This is the conceit I always find in atheism. “Things don’t work the way I think they should, I reject it!”. It’s not a statement of fact or rebuttal, it’s nothing more than a philosophical temper tantrum. No offense intended.
God works in ways I may or may not know. I don’t get to decide what His best choices are. I’m not God, that’s not my place. And that’s fine, because I really don’t need that pressure, heh.
Just a few short years ago I was a lifelong atheist just like you. I guess for me the real change came when I accepted that I am not nor can I, or anybody, ever be omniscient. When I gave up the anger that “It’s not how I’d like it!” and simply accepted that this is how it is and that there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging human weakness *as a sentient species*. Contentment I guess you’d call it, which roundabouts quite nicely into the original topic of this article, heh.

        73. Heh, no fucking way man. It was on another thread earlier and I answered it, so it started stalking me. The mods have a slow hand today it seems.

        74. Out of curiosity, how did you move from atheist to religion? How did you pick the “right” one?
And yes, I am giving it up in anger. Most religions teach that if you’re the “other” you go to hell. Probably the best religion for a chance at heaven is Jewish, in a lot of religions, Jews get a “pass” even if they are wrong because they are the original religion.
I’ve never been sure as to how best to place that bet. If I thought I had a chance at picking correctly, sure, it’s worth the time/effort even if it’s not true. But, given the number of religions, it seems the chance of “picking correctly” is about 1 in 100. Add to that the chances of any of it being true, and I’m comfortable with my odds as an atheist. 😉

        75. “So in summary, you’ll not say “I don’t know, yet”, if you’re being rigorously truthful, you’ll have to append “Nor will I nor anybody ever know”.
          Welcome to faith.”
Even if you accept the first and second, you don’t have to accept the conclusion. Just because I don’t know, and we may never know what caused the big bang, does not mean I have to take anything on faith. I can just say “I don’t know”. Which is kind of how I feel about life after death. I seriously doubt it exists, but “I don’t know” is the most truthful answer, because, of course, there’s no way to test it.
I try to live my life with faith in absolutely nothing. This is not restricted to just god; but all areas. I have no faith my friends will be there for me. No faith my wife won’t cheat. No faith I’ll have a job tomorrow. I live as if the world will fall apart in the next 10 minutes; that way I’m always pleased when, 11 minutes later, everything is still OK. It’s probably not the easiest way to live, but it does keep you from taking things for granted. In whole though, faith is a foreign concept to me.

        76. Out of curiosity, how did you move from atheist to religion? How did you pick the “right” one?
To the first question, I learned to view the universe with humility instead of arrogance (I mean that only in my case, I’m not indicting anybody else with that, just to be clear). Once I accepted that basic level of “I know that I know nothing” it became easier to focus on faith to the point that I started “hearing” God’s direction a bit more clearly. Not being mystic mumbo jumbo here (well, trying not to); think of it more like a psychotic man with several voices in his head finally getting medicine to hear only one voice. His entire world and perspective changes, everything he knew he still knows but now he can ponder questions without thousands of combating voices, all contradictory. He can come to peace. I think this level of giving up the self assumed arrogance, to the level of giving up the self as any kind of vessel that can know, is vital to being able to accept faith. Once you can be good with faith then contemplating religion, God, the Bible, life, etc. becomes something *other* than trying to prove your already assumed views, if that makes sense. You open up to something other than your own prejudices.
To the second question, I’m not sure if “picked” is the right word, but Christianity just resonates with my heart and appears to have been written there the whole time.
I think you’ll find peace when you realize that you really don’t pick Christianity, but that it’s already written in your heart if you just listen. We’ve all been taught all of our lives to deny religion and scoff at and mock it, this was a central tenant of Marxism which they exported deliberately to the States. This was readily admitted after the wall fell, McCarthy was vindicated. However that view has taken hold, hard, no question. I gave up the haughty arrogance they taught me from cradle until just recently and bing, there it was, plain as day. I don’t have to gamble or choose, it was done for me.
Fantastic discussion and it’s been a pleasure Overtaxed. I gotta scoot here soon to the gym. Hope things go well for you for the rest of the day.

        77. I don’t know is fine. But to go as far as possible with truth, you’ll discover that you can’t know, nor can anybody. Science says you can’t know, by its own terms and conditions.
I live with trust in my friends, but I know it can be violated. Same with everything you mention. I accept that they are good until proven otherwise though.

        78. Actually, He was saying that the 10 commandments, and all the Law, could be summed up in two commandments:
          1. Love the LORD with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength
          2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
If you follow those two, you won’t have an issue with salvation. God will reveal Himself to you

        79. Just like you have to take it by “faith” that we descended from a common ancestor as apes. Where are the missing links? Why do we no longer see this macro-evolution?
          Science is your religion

        80. It occurred to me Christianity was the one True Religion, when I saw the Might of the Nations that Revered the word of God. Notice also those same nations as they begin to slip away from God’s word, to create a “multireligion jesus who is ok with other pagan gods too”, to forget the Fear of God, and lack Humility in God’s sight , those nations begin to fall into insanity. While Nations that are still pagan, still haven’t even figured out basic Water sanitation Like in Parts of Africa.
Leviticus 26 sums it up perfectly.

        81. Would you let me violate you hot stuff? Xxxxx😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😍😍😍😘😍😘😜😍😍😘😛😝😘😍😜😘😘😛😝😛😍😜😜😘😘😛😝😘😜😜😍😘😝😝😝😝😝😛😘😘😍😜😜😘😛😝😝😘😍😜

        84. Will you be the monster to my Dr Frankenstein Jeffy my love? xxxxx😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        85. You know Byron was a big Wieen too, just like you Jeffy boy? Cxxx😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        86. It’s not about what WE think and whom WE think deserve eternal punishment. God does what he sees fit with whom he sees fit. Romans 9 and vessels of clay; some made for honorable use, some not.
Eternity is why people like Bart and I interact with those like you who are genuinely inquisitive. We would honour God by showing you Him.

        87. Well I appreciate your politeness, but your god seems capricious at best, at worst cruel.

        88. Funny you should say that. Allah is the capricious one. God has always kept His promises. That’s why those saved are the Elect: God chooses before time those he would save. The “let Jesus into your heart” folk do not have a Biblical understanding.
This exchange is one of the benefits of being Baptist and of the Faith of Spurgeon, Calvin et al: it’s not our job to convince you but show you. Faith is a gift.

        89. Interesting redirect.
Yes, they do. However, one need only read it to see that error.
The Koran is also only 15% of the Bible, roughly half the size of the NT, is ignorant of basic Christianity, has many anachronisms, and has no idea of history.

        90. I’ve read the koran several times, as you said it’s not long 🙂
I’ve seen several contradictions, specifically the “sword” verses of sura 9. Unless you subscribe to “naskh” which muslims will often confirm or deny based on the audience.

        91. ” Which means that, given the fossil record, man and dinosaur must have lived together. Which we know is not the case.”
Controversial T. Rex Soft Tissue Find Finally Explained (2013):
          http://www.livescience.com/41537-t-rex-soft-tissue.html
The find was also controversial, because scientists had thought proteins that make up soft tissue should degrade in less than 1 million years in the best of conditions. In most cases, microbes feast on a dead animal’s soft tissue, destroying it within weeks. The tissue must be something else, perhaps the product of a later bacterial invasion, critics argued.
          […]
The researchers also analyzed other fossils for the presence of soft tissue, and found it was present in about half of their samples going back to the Jurassic Period, which lasted from 145.5 million to 199.6 million years ago, Schweitzer said.
“The problem is, for 300 years, we thought, ‘Well, the organics are all gone, so why should we look for something that’s not going to be there?’ and nobody looks,” she said.
The obvious question, though, was how soft, pliable tissue could survive for millions of years. In a new study published today (Nov. 26) in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, Schweitzer thinks she has the answer: Iron.
More dinosaur bones yield traces of blood, soft tissue (2015):
          https://student.societyforscience.org/article/more-dinosaur-bones-yield-traces-blood-soft-tissue
“Researchers from London have found hints of blood and fibrous tissue in a hodgepodge of 75-million-year-old dinosaur bones. These fossils had been poorly preserved. That now suggests residues of soft tissues may be more common in dino bones than scientists had thought.”
Now, what’s easier to believe? That mankind and “dinosaurs” aka “dragons” coexisted until VERY recently, as recorded by people like Macro Polo? Or that soft tissue can be found in most “hundreds/tens of millions of year old” bones tested, even the “poorly preserved,” because of [implausible explanation]? Occam’s Razor should be “dinosaur” bones are a mere few hundred to a few thousand years old and the methods contrived by evolutionists to calculate an ancient Earth are bogus.

        92. “Fantastic discussion and it’s been a pleasure Overtaxed. I gotta scoot here soon to the gym. Hope things go well for you for the rest of the day.”
Agreed. Not many places where you can have a discussion like this without it denigrating into a pure flame war within 30 seconds. I disagree with your position, however, cannot deny that it leads you to a place that’s likely more peaceful and frankly happier than where my belief system leaves me. I also can’t deny that religion is necessary for a lot of people and that without it, things seem to get messed up (most notably, women without religion seem to go directly to batshit crazy.. Do not pass go).
Perhaps someday I’ll come to see the world as you do and find some peace. I just want to make sure that doesn’t lead to me deciding that it’s a good idea to bring someone else into this world. I have no interest in having another person live as I have for 40+ years until they finally give up and find religion/peace. Probably one of the most powerful things about my “belief” system is that it leads me to not procreate, a decision that I find very intellectually comforting and rationally sound.

        93. “Probably one of the most powerful things about my “belief” system is
that it leads me to not procreate, a decision that I find very
          intellectually comforting and rationally sound.”
It’s funny : my wish of not procreating is mostly motivated by my religious ideals.

        94. I’d give you a slow hand, ir a fast one, whichever you prefer toots xxxxx😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        95. “Just like you have to take it by “faith” that we descended from a common ancestor as apes. ”
See, that’s the thing I’m not sure the religious understand about those of us who don’t believe. I’m not claiming divine influence when I quote science. As such, a perfectly reasonable answer to “where are the missing links” is “I don’t know”. Doesn’t require a re-evaluation of the entire belief system. Doesn’t invalidate all the rest of science we know. Science concerns itself with tearing down all the preconceptions to put in new theory that’s better. There is no “book” we hold dear. If someone provides evidence of a divine spark that created life, have no doubt, that evidence will quickly make it’s way into scientific textbooks.
Religion is held to a much higher standard. Most religious claim that their book is the literal “word of god”. As such, it’s not open for revision; and it must be infallible. As soon as a theory is proven wrong in the book by science, the entire book is proven wrong; it cannot be the word of god if it’s completely wrong about the origin of life.

      1. I do believe that atheists can and do contribute many things that are beneficial to society. I am sure that you offer much good to society.
Personally, I cannot see a route to a meaningful life through atheism (I’m not saying that you cannot have a meaningful life that way, but that I cannot).
I think there are several reasons that people do not believe in God (different people have different reasons).
Today, I think a lot of people haven’t seriously considered the question of God. Again I’m not saying that is true of you, maybe you have given serious thought to God and then rejected faith in Him.
I think a lot of people were indoctrinated in secularism, atheism, and evolutionary scientific naturalism through our public education system. They just assume atheism without giving God serious thought (much like they assume Marxist, or feminist thought, or perhaps CO2 induced climatic change).
All those things might possibly be true, but should not be simply assumed. We should think through them.
At the end of the day, I believe that Christianity is not only “beneficial or meaningful”, but much more importantly that it is historically true and accurate. Personally I’d suggest looking into the historical evidence for the resurrection of Christ. Everything hangs on that one point. Jesus Christ rising from the dead either happened or it didn’t. That one fact changes everything.

      2. As a former atheist, some atheists just can’t believe, even though they’d like to, even though they’re mad at God for not making the world the way God ought to have. Figure that one out.

        1. “As a former atheist, some atheists just can’t believe, even though they’d like to”
As an atheist, I couldn’t agree more. If I believed, my life would be infinitely easier. Just figure out what would make god happiest (which almost certainly isn’t working at a company piling up money) and do that. Probably spend the rest of my days in Africa or some other war torn country and spread the word. It would be a much nicer existence, especially if I got killed quickly so I could meet god and bask in his glory.

        2. Yes I agree. I’ve know people like that. A trauma drives them from the believing to the atheist. I find a person like that never really stops believing if they are “angry” at god. They usually become believers again.
My non-belief comes more from the chaos I see not only on earth but in the universe. I see a complete lack of “intelligent design”. And if it happens to be designed, this designer can’t possibly care if you believe he is trifurcated, eat meat on Friday or if you have pre-marital sex.
There’s a great Neil Degrasse Tyson lecture on how the universe is “flat”, neither positively or negatively charged. A strong argument against design.

        3. My educational background (BS, MS, and a non PhD doctorate) are in the Biological and Agricultural Sciences. I’ve thought a lot about evolutionary theory. It just doesn’t seem to add up. Random mutation and natural selection (which is pretty much all we have) seem incapable of producing life.
It might have made sense to Darwin back in the day, but now we know so much more about cell biology and genetics. Everything is complicated beyond our understanding. The more we learn, the more we realize we don’t know.
The thought that random mutation and natural selection could create everything just doesn’t seem plausible to me.
Also, the historical evidence of the resurrection of Christ seems pretty compelling to me.
I know most scientists would disagree with me on both points.

        4. I’m also a scientist (not bio) and I do not disagree with you at all. We don’t know how life sparked into existence. We do know, however, that it wasn’t a 7 day process ending with man on day 7. And that’s enough for me to keep looking for something that makes more sense.

        5. Why in your opinion, do you think that 90% of species went extinct prior to homo sapiens arrival on the scene? Seems a poor design.
Also do you think the universe is closer to thousands of years old or billions of years old?

        6. There is no such thing as an argument against design. An “argument” is a structured human concept intended to prove a pattern occurence or or rule in nature. This is why even evolutionists constantly anthropomorphize evolution and give it a tells. It is unavoidable and also illogical to say there us in design. This is why real physicists are so much more spiritual than other scientists like biologists. Neil Degrasse Tyson is not even a real scientist, by the way. I’m afraid you’ve been taken in by pop culture.

        7. I’ve been where you are. Submit. Just give up. Stop fighting him. Even if its dangerous, humiliating, scary, weird, or irrational. You know all of life is already bizarre, irrational, absurd. Submit to him and ask to be his. Get to know him through the Bible.

        8. There is a lot that I do not understand. I want to be always learning, and try to keep an open mind.
I don’t think there is good scientific evidence for the idea that everything just happened by random chance.
I also think there is solid historical evidence (different category than either science or faith really) that the man Jesus rose from the dead.
Those two points are really where I start.
I also look at the crazy Christian concept of grace (that God accepts and saves people based on Jesus and not our own goodness).
I don’t think we humans would think up a religious idea like that.
Man made religions generally operate under the principle of “do good, and god will accept you”. We must appease whatever deities we think up. Karma basically operates the same way. We get what we deserve.
Christianity (with this whole concept of imputed grace – getting what we don’t deserve) is just so crazy different than any other religion.
That makes me think there must be something to it.

        9. “You know all of life is already bizarre, irrational, absurd. Submit to him and ask to be his. Get to know him through the Bible.”
But it’s not. If life really presented randomness that could not be explained, I’d be more open. It’s not at all irrational or absurd. We make it absurd because of our culture, not life itself.
I spent about 10 years deeply involved with the church. Read the bible cover to cover dozens of times. I just can’t do it, it requires too much denial of reality.

        10. Normally i don’t derail important philosophical questions to focus on myself, so don’t dissappoint me. I am an old earth creationist and an Evolution Theory skeptic. The hardest time i have in this intellectual position is the creation/flood/ark business. I concole myself in this predicament by remembering that its is easier than your predicament, in which all of life is meaningless, absurd, endlessly paradoxical, and confusing. Light as a dual property, grand unified theory, uncertainty principle, a biogenesis, etc.

        11. You already admitted that there is no meaning in life. Randomness or not, that’s absurd. If life was meaningless to you, you would not be talking to me. So which is it?
Fuck the church. Know God. Know Truth. Admit your subordinate position. THEN maybe worry about religion, which church, who’s neighbor, etc.
Don’t be another person crying about the church. You’ll find out you’re just like them in your heart, anyways. Corrupt. Pathetic. Hypocrite. Liar.

        12. “You already admitted that there is no meaning in life. Randomness or not, that’s absurd. If life was meaningless to you, you would not be talking to me. So which is it?”
This is a logical fallacy. Just because I don’t see a divine meaning to life does not somehow imply that I can’t talk/type or discuss things with others.
There is a meaning to life. Reproduce. Create more of it and let evolution improve the “mix”. Do you think you’re dog ponders the meaning of life? Of course not, but yet, they are without question alive. Does your dog’s life have “meaning”? Of course not, and yet, here he/she is..
Corrupt, of course, as are all humans. Pathetic? Not in my eyes? Hypocrite? Not nearly to the extent they are; I never claim to be better than another by divine blessing and live my life consistently to my beliefs. Liar? Of course, as we all are.

        13. Please allow me to quote you, as of approx 3 hours ago in this forum. “You cannot find meaning because there is none… In the end, we’re all dead.” You simply stated the material, scientific, fact. And I agreed with it.
Now, I wish you would go ahead and agree with yourself already.
You try to come up with crap like, “Reproduce.” I think it is an attempt to rationalize your continued existence in an absurd reality. Ask me how I know. I used to be an atheist, remember? Perhaps at some point you will realize that you are rationalizing, lying to yourself, a hypocrite that thinks there is no meaning but constantly seeks meaning in work, play, and study. Maybe then you will be humble and honest. Maybe then you will see you are as big a hypocrite as bad as “they” are.

        14. Agreed Bart. Biology confirms that the basic amino acids that make up life grow in deep ocean vents.
What Biology can’t explain is “The Gap” of time between the development of these amino chains and when the first organisms were able to process information, reproduce, etc.
There’s definitely an intelligent design that science cannot 100% account for.

  3. A lot of truth here. The reality of this article has nothing to do with cousins and the advice we’re giving people, but with Roosh, and others, maturing (I do not mean that in a derogatory way). More articles in this vein, please!
Sex is amazing, women are beautiful; wait until you look into the eyes of your firstborn son.

      1. Respect.
I have one son and wife may be pregnant as I type this. Whatever we have (hoping to have 4-5 kids), You can be sure I will teach the males to be masculine and the girls to feminine.

        1. Had to come back and close the loop. Thank you for your prayer.
Took a positive test this pm. Second prayer? That it is a boy.

    1. Totally agree. Your identity becomes more than yourself, you fulfill the deep urge to be the leader of a greater whole when you decide to have a family and stick with it. This takes up a lot of your life for a very long time, such that you don’t sit around bored wondering what it’s all about. You have not only “things to do” but also growth that you feel as you watch your own child grow up. It’s something that I’m sure childless people don’t want to hear, but you expand in your soul as a man when you have a child and family. Meaning isn’t something you search for any longer, it’s something right there in front of you every day.

      1. It also brings you face to face with your own mortality. Watching my oldest daughter sleep (she was probably a little older than 1 year at the time), I realized that she was my legacy. When I am long dead and gone, she will be there making her own impact on the world and carrying on the bloodline.

      2. Why aren’t you ok with your identity Jeffy? It’s 2016, it’s ok to be gay!

  4. Fuck you u dumb fish cake fucks go and fucking die in a fucking hole you fucking piece of fucking shits. I hope you fucking fall in a fucking pit of fucking snakes and then fall off a cliff bincht ohhh also ur mum like ur face bitch ohh comebacks go and die fucktard how dare you come into my house and insult me in front of my bARE children you fucker. If I saw you clinging to the edge of a cliff I would get a fucking axe and cut off your fucking fingers then kick you in the balls. Good day, sir
also ps I saw weed three times on google images so fuck off I’m cool
plus I have seven girlfriends you fuck I bet u have like one or two
so shut the hell ur mouth binch

  5. Though most of the people on this site are against it , military service is pretty meaningful and exciting . Meaningful in different ways than just service of country .of you are physical fit enough the army will pay to teach you to jump out of planes , visit multiple countries (not just the boring tourist spots ), and become a decent shot . Alot of men on here bring up the “chance of dying for no reason ” argument,. well judging by the consensus of this site most of y’all see almost every endeavor as pointless and I’ll add to that , we all will die it’s only a matter of when . So you might as well make it an adventure.

    1. I would still recommend the military to young men. Especially combat arms and volunteer for all the courses they offer. It isn’t like fags or women will be gunning for those slots.

  6. Excellent article Roosh. Many men are experience similar feelings and reflections.
I’m glad you mentioned God, because I think a lot of answers to those questions will be of a religious nature. The root of the problem has to be addressed, and this problem’s root is spiritual. Some people understand this, some never will.
I aspire to have a family, but at the moment I’m making NO serious step to execute this plan. I’m working/traveling the world/meeting girls in a similar way as you are, and although I perfectly know the limits of this lifestyle, I have a hard time telling myself I need to settle with a western girl and build a traditional family, I’m not sure it’s possible anymore.

        1. Will you be the White witch to my wicked witch of the East? I do love wicked, don’t you?

  7. Good article, Roosh. I’m still in the stage where banging hot girls still gives me a rush but I have to admit it’s kind of losing its luster and I’m beginning to start to think about what’s next. I’m only 32 but is this all there is to life? Who knows?

  8. The truth is that this depends upon them, and upon us.
The essence of masculinity is imposing one’s will upon the outside world. The stakes may be higher, and the ‘cultural’ (sic) forces opposing them stronger, but the future of men always was, and will be in their own hands.
Pretty sure you know this btw, and the latter part of your article indicates that you do, so I’m guessing this is another rhetorical piece…
Even more inspiring is that it is always when things are darkest that the greatest opportunities to be a man arise. I never heard a greater story than Leonidas and the stand of the 300 when I was a kid, and it’s stayed with me for life.
The challenge for the past few generations is that most of our fathers bought the evolving feminist dialogue and withdrew from their traditional initiatory role of showing us how to be men. This indicated the way that *we* can best participate in helping young men reclaim their future… *we* need to reclaim that role.
Yes, the ‘culture’ (sic) is against us, but there *are* still places where masculinity remains and can flourish – gyms, dojos, small and medium businesses – and in the spaces we can, and should, show the next generation what it means to be, and how to be, men.
Again I think you know this because of the way your own path has evolved… What man isn’t interested in women? and hence attracted to game… A male path that can, and in your case *has* led to the wider issues of masculinity.
In conclusion I think the future of young men is in their own hands, as it should be, and as it always has been. And I think that *we* should fight for and retain the traditional role of older men, that of initiators and guides into the path of masculinity…

  9. I don’t understand the search for meaning or purpose in the belief in god. If you can’t find meaning in yourself (or at least your RELATION to the outside world), I think it will be much more difficult with “the man upstairs”.
If part of you thinks you will find happiness/purpose in marriage/family, cool have at it. But don’t do it because you’re SUPPOSED to.
All for trying to help people/community, not argument there. Just be on the lookout for people looking to take advantage.

    1. You cannot find meaning in yourself because you did not make yourself. Nor can you find meaning in your relations, because you also did not make them. You were placed in your body and your location by no will of your own. You must first admit that there is a creator before you can understand the created order, your place it it, and the meaning of it all.

      1. You cannot find meaning because there is none. You must make meaning in your life or watch is pass by from the sidelines. No need for a “creator” just an understanding that it’s up to you to decide what’s important to you and try to live a good life (whatever that means to you). In the end, we’re all dead.

        1. And that’s where we end up back with Roosh’s disillusionment. You don’t have to believe in a God or higher power, but believing in causes larger than yourself provides a similar level of contentment and possibly happiness. Going full atomist always leads to despair though. I don’t say this as an observer, I’ve been there too.

        2. Top threesome? You, me and Roosh. Now that mans definitely a bottom if I ever saw one xxxxx

        3. I love you Jeffy 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

      2. I didn’t create the belief in god or a religion either by your logic. And by the way I thought god gave us “free will”. We’re not puppets right? 🙂

        1. The belief in God is created in you as well. You cannot create it. It is a gift from your creator. You should pray with me that you receive it. Pray to this God that you have posited. Pray to this God that you would be his puppet, but that you would know and love Him while you are his puppet.

        2. Not jumping into the discussion trying to persuade/dissuade you towards Christianity; just pointing out an inaccuracy in your statement (from how I understand it). We do not have TOTAL free will. After all, God did harden the heart of pharaoh in the story of Moses. If it weren’t for that, pharaoh would have let the Hebrews leave Egypt long before all the plagues came down on him. I believe there’s other examples in the Bible, but this one instantly sprang to mind.

        3. No thanks,
I’d rather not be anyone’s puppet. I already have to deal with family, government and societal constraints than to go SEEKING another form of control.
Also I can’t love someone I must fear, that is sado-masochism (not the Friday-night fun kind either). 🙂
Lastly if you have to believe abjectly in this creator “or else” than I have no free will, am just a puppet with clipped strings, and this creator made a mistake in creating me.

        4. “Hardened his heart?” So the all powerful worked directly to increase suffering. How merciful a god is he.

        5. You already are a puppet no matter which way you carve it up. Materialism is your only non-religious option. Either you’re a puppet, or a puppet created by God that may have a limited will as a puppet.

        6. Hi,
Replying to both comments. So either way I’m screwed. I’ll have to amend my life philosophy from “life sucks, then you die” to “life sucks, then you die, and the real fun begins”. 🙂
No seriously life can be absurd and meaningless and still not be useless. Camus had this theory and I think it has merit.
I don’t fully understand all of those scientific concepts too, but to make the leap to that part of god existed as a man on earth, absorbed collective guilt (scapegoat?) by suffering on a cross, was resurrected, rose to heaven, a has not had “contact” with man since (unless you’re a muslim)? I can’t get there.

        7. I wrote I’d RATHER not, I know that there are societal and other forces that act on me beyond my control. I also wrote I’m not seeking any more out.

        8. Yeah, we’re supposed to believe that God sacrificed himself to himself to save us from himself. I’d rather not subscribe to that kind of schizophrenic monstrocity

        9. I’m not calling it schizophrenic, just inconsistent. Although I’m an atheist I try to be respectful of people’s belief(s). To me true atheism is the absence of belief, not the need to go stamp out religion. Sadly many religious approach ANY questioning as insulting. Oh well. I don’t the Sgt. or Bart were angry, rather seem quite civil.
I know what may on this site are getting at, loss of tradition, cultural marxism/dilution etc. I’m just not into the belief in god and am curious as to why people are.

        10. You deny that, absent a designer bestowing intent and value, you’re anything more than an animated sack of talking meat? You cling to the religious concept that man is more than materials and can somehow transcend the laws of physics and obtain a “free will?”
I believe it was Socrates that famously said to Plato, “Come at me bro!”

        11. You have disappointed me. Not because I allowed you to sidetrack the conversation with my personal beliefs. Thanks for that, FWIW. No, you disappoint me because you are yet another post-modern pop culture product that repeatedly dismisses both my points and your own musings with constant “ironic humor.” Did you know dismissive ironic humor is a hallmark of postmodernism, and did not always exist? Did you know that you fit neatly into the modern philosophy, as most of your peers do? How does that make you feel, to be so similar in your philosophy to your contemporaries. Perhaps you have not been skeptical enough.
I am of the theory that dismissive ironic humor in discussions of profound importance is a kind of mechanism to divert the angst caused by looking into the abyss and seeing the emptiness inside of you and throughout the cosmos. Forgive me for borrowing from Jung and Freud, but perhaps it helps express my sentiments.

        12. Intent and value are subjectively determined, whether by a designer or myself. Value is solely a function of my subjectivity, and if I so choose I may logically assign deep value to something that has no value to anyone else in the world. Others of course could disagree with such a value assessment, but they could not refute the fact of my having made a value judgement.
Furthermore, a designers value judgement would be just as subjective as my own

        13. You declare that intent and value are subjectively determined. That is true, unless there is someone who has designed something with a certain intent and value. Then it would be an objective fact, not a subjective perception. In the God theory, the universe was created by a designer with intent, and in some religions the creators has also provided values (through propets/literature/revelations.)
Further, when people talk about values they are not talking about what you are talking about. They are not talking about relativism. They are talking about eternal truths by which they can live their lives and build something upon. So you’re using the wrong definition here. I see this a lot in evo psych circles when they try to say morality evolved. If morality evolved then morality does not exist. That, my friend, is not called morality, that’s called an “opinion” or an “adaptation.”
So—in contradiction to your closing sentence—if a designer (author) of a piece of literature intended his book to be about the shortcomings of a legal system because he values justice and reasoned debate, those would be objective value and intentions. If that author was also the Supreme Overlord under which you live, according to his good graces, then his objective values and intentions would be very objective indeed.
Hope you don’t find yourself on the wrong side of the Supreme Overlord.

        14. First. I don’t care that I have disappointed you. You are not family or a close friend. But let’s cut to the chase. Nothing I have to say would have NOT disappointed you, much less impressed you. And you yourself have told me not to care what others think.
Secondly I like the way you’ve handled your own little diversion. You place me in the “postmodern” bin with little evidence other than trying to inject a modicum of humor. You might be right, I don’t care. I have not studied postmodernism but assume you think it is a negative. You also think atheism is negative and I do not. Atheism has been around since the time of at least Heraclitus, by the way.
Thirdly kudos for using the “you haven’t examined your beliefs” or “you’re not original” allusion. Am I supposed to lash out against this? Did I claim to be some atheist iconoclast?
And while we’re offering psychological insight, I am of the theory that INABILITY to introduce humor is symptomatic your frustration at religion’s increasing lack of control over our society and your desire to use it as a cudgel to silence dissent. Perhaps boiling under the surface is an aspiring theocrat? You seem too patient for that but who knows?
Or perhaps religion saved you from substance abuse or depression? It can’t be treated jovially just as one would not allow you making light of a police officer or fireman that save them
Let me guess your next move will be that I “dost protest to much” and any defense on my part further weakens my argument and strengthens your’s. Something like that?

        15. There is no promise of no suffering. There is promise of deliverance is you accept God. God is a harsh father, who teaches harsh lessons. This is why he formed a patriarchal church.
What, do you want it soft and easy then?

        16. Some things I like easy, some things I like a challenge.
I don’t, however, wish an eternal overseer who can condemn me to eternal suffering for the rather benign sin of choosing not to believe he exists. Any being that would punish eternally for minor transgressions is cruel. Someone that kills first-born children for the sins of parents is in no way merciful. Not even the parents’ sins mind you, those of an unelected ruler the parents could likely not overthrow.
You should read what FivePointSpurgeon wrote, his contention is that lack of faith is grounds for condemnation and good works without belief are disengenuous.

        17. I use humor. I used humor when I quoted Socrates speaking to Plato, “Come at me bro.”
What you use is dismissive humor. You skirt the confrontation by resorting to dismissive ironic humor. It is a particular style of humor that always comes at a particular point in time. you keep using smiley faces when you do it, but its obvious to me. Perhaps you will see it too.
I am an open theocrat. A theonomist, actually. A militant Christian fundamentalist I like to say. In the world where my thousand year old religion is pitted against your modernist religion, all’s fair in love and religious warfare. Hope you can respect that. We probably treat you better than you treat us, according to the history of the 20th century. However, my aspirations are no more than to be a trigger puller, and leave aspirations up to my betters.
Religion didn’t save me from anything. The truth saved me from death. I was dead, now I am alive. I was blind, but now I see.
You did seem to protest a bit much to my accusations. But that doesn’t mean your arguments are weak because you actually haven’t really presented any arguments. You’ve just patronized me and explored my thoughts, and shared a little, but that dismissive humor hindered us really connecting. Its hard to connect on this format anyways, and I normally have a very busy day with my family and work anyways, so I doubt we’ll be able to continue tomorrow. I have a lot on the schedule tomorrow.

        18. That’s a pretty firm positive statement. Perhaps there is no evidence that there are eternal moral values (I beg to differ, from a Natural Law standpoint.) But that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t. There was no evidence of the dual properties of photons for many ages, but it was there all along, and many more revelations await us in the sciences. Do you have evidence that there aren’t eternal moral values?
Natural Law would argue that, because there is a created order (and there is no chaos anywhere in the cosmos) then there is also most likely a moral order, values, and a super-chronological author of those values, which would make those morals eternal as far as our frame of reference is concerned. So, in Natural Law, there is strong evidence of eternal moral values that I could go over with you.
So I repeat: Do you have evidence there are no eternal moral values, or is this an act of faith on your part? I sure hope you don’t believe something for which you have no actual evidence to support.

        19. Presuming that there is a created order is begging the question. And while there are certainly laws of physics, those are physical laws, not moral laws. Furthermore, to say that there is no chaos in the universe is utterly laughable. You don’t have to go far to find plenty of it all around

        20. “Come at me bro”? I am actually interested in that context.
The use of smiley faces is to indicate attempts at humor but not outright mockery. As you said it’s difficult to connect on this format and harder still to convey tone of voice.
At least you admit to being a theocrat. I shudder to think what my place would be in your ideal society, but I admire your honesty.

        21. You can go soft and easy if you want Jeffy, or you can be rough, I’d enjoy both tbh darling xxxx😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

    2. Almost every married man I know is bored, restless, and miserable with his family life

  10. The thirties are an odd age. You gain the ability to extract wisdom from the insights you’ve had over the years, but you retain a lot of the impulsiveness and energy of your youth. This can lead many places, but one of them is restless angst and hopelessness if your insights inform you of a hostile world. There’s a reason a lot of moral crises happen in one’s thirties for a man.
Whenever I get to feeling like things are hopeless and all is for naught, I think back and consider that at all times in history, life can be perceived as hell on earth, or as an earthly paradise, regardless of one’s circumstances (well, ok, the slaves of Genghis Khan probably get a pass on that, it sucked hard for them). It’s all in how you approach it. If hedonism doesn’t hit the spot, and I’m fully in agreement that it doesn’t, there are other paths to explore. Also keep in mind that more than happiness, one should pursue contentment. This is a critical thing and they are not necessarily the same.

    1. What you say about your thirties is correct. I feel that my personal insights are growing in leaps and bounds which gives me even more motivation to tackle the world. Hope that keeps going for quite a while.
Quite an interesting comment about pursuing contentment instead of happiness. There’s a subtle difference that I understand, but it’s hard to put into words.

      1. Happiness – self explanatory, “I feel happy!”
Contentment – You sit alone in the post that you stayed behind to guard so that your squad mates could escape, knowing you are going to die when the enemy comes over the hill and finally overwhelms you. You are content, at peace, because you know you’ve done something that means something in a larger context, that has impact outside of yourself, something that you’ll be remembered for in the decades to come by all that you saved. You’re probably not jumping for joy about it though.

        1. I see what you’re saying. I was thinking more about sitting on the front porch swing after the kids are in bed, listening to the silence slowly descend over my neighborhood, and enjoying my pipe and a glass of whiskey. That, to me, is contentment.

        2. Yes, it is. I was just using an extreme example that involved nearly zero elements of “happy” to make the point more black and white. There’s usually a lot of overlap between the two, so I was making a bright distinction.

        3. Why haven’t you confirmed if you’re a top or a bottom yet Jeffy? I’d say you’re a bottom, but I’d rather know so I know how much lube to stock up on xxx

        4. It would make me happy to slide my cock gently into your tight, trembling little arsehole as you moan gently and realise that it’s not wrong, it’s oh so right, and then you’ll beg me for more and I’ll speed up and fuck you while reaching around and taking your throbbing cock gently in my hand until you reach a glorious conclusion x

        5. I’m mighty persistent, I can keep this up all night. How long can you keep it up for Jeffy ? Xx

        6. Get a fire pit. Nothing like sitting under the stars around a fire with the woman or a few good friends. I have a shortwave radio that I can pick up crazy stations from around the world. Great fireside listening. More fun than any trip to the bar.
Also, I can sit in my backyard in the sun and just watch my dogs play and be dogs for hours.
          Goddamn, is summer here yet???

        7. Are you a top or a bottom unabashed? Do you and Jeffy like to make dragon butter together? 😜

        8. I think this is the same one that dresses up and hounds me for a couple of hours a month. It’s rather touched and I suspect unbalanced in real life. I can see trolling a political site or whatever, but to go to these lengths to act like a 10 year old really is sad.
Basically it got mad that I responded to it on another thread without feeding its need for positive validation. Now, of course, the stalking. Ho hum.

        9. I’ve never hounded you before. Ooh, is there more than one of us that would like to get you naked? 😜

        10. I rather think he’d be a submissive bottom. Perhaps as a punishment for not telling you sooner you could handcuff him to the bed and put a butt plug into his sweet, tight arse, and leave him writhing in pleasure while you sit at the side changing the power levels, enjoying the cock ring that stops him from reaching his climax.
          Just a suggestion. X

        11. Oof, not for Jeffy’s first time, I’m a gentle loving gay x
I’ll be getting the sandpaper and sellotape out on our second try though 😜

        12. It’s mircoscopic, which is why he opts to bottom, and also why he opts to conpensate for his lack of masculinity by reading Return Of Kings articles unironically.

        13. Now that sounds marvellous! Perhaps you would like to watch as I take Jeffy’s anal virginity? Offers open, you’re welcome anytime x

        14. There was a man called Jefferson,
He liked to swallow semen by the metric ton,
He likes to post on return of kings, About homophobia, sexism and other things.
But we all really know he likes it up the bum.

        15. I don’t want to accomplish anything, I just want some of Jeffy babies sweet sweet lovin’

        16. Getting closer to primary elections for some states so political site trolling is at an all time high.

        17. I’ll be here waiting for you Jeffy when you come back xx I’ll never let you go, every comment you make I will be there xxx

        18. Standard “disrupt and destroy” run.

        19. I’ve got you bookmarked now so every time you make a comment, I’ll know! Isn’t that great!

        20. Are you not even going to thank me for writing you a poem? Oh dear, I’ll need to just comment on your posts for days…maybe even weeks or months!

        21. Got myself a firepit for that reason! Had some incredible weather this past weekend.

        22. In the day there used to be some pretty good trolls. I wonder if anyone here remembers Mavis?

        23. Are you calling the relationship Jeffy and I have trolling? How dare you! JEFFY, THIS MAN’s INSULTING OUR LOVE, come defend me sweetheart.

        24. It’s an extension of the winter hearth. Always gives enjoyment.

      2. Took the words right out of my mouth re insights, understanding and motivation. That fire inside is just growing…

      3. I dont comment much on ROK, but what I can add to this particular topic is that attaining inner peace tops being happy any day. I notice that my efforts in finding and keeping my inner peace brings contentment by default; and the peace and quiet is priceless in comparison to having to meet ridiculous standards for “charisma” among the loud and annoying crowds. It also helps that I have always been a bit of an introvert, even more so that I’m in my mid 30s.

    2. Repressing your sexuality would give you feelings of hopelessness, I’ve been there pal xxx
If you want to talk about it get in touch. Or we could carry on our little grindr discussion xx

      1. “Or we could carry on our little grindr discussion xx” How “men” like you will never understand anything of that has real and durable substance isn’t surprising considering your handle sonny.

        1. I bet you would come like a little bitch as soon as entered that tight little ass of yours 😜
Then you would suck me dry and swallow my load, which would definitely be something of substance.
Oh smoking jacket, I’d love to cum all done the velvet xxxx😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😉

    3. I’m in the midst of the 30’s transformation right now. In the past year I’ve done two things I never thought would happen – quit drinking and got married (after going sober) all because I’ve been focusing on contentment. Living the dream is just a matter of perspective. Modern technology and media feeds us loads of bullshit about happiness and how to get it. It’s chasing the green dragon, you’ll never catch it. Life is kind of boring and that is kind of great. Contentment with what you have, where you are at, and where you are going is how be happy.

      1. Fantastic insight. I have sat on an empty road side in Wyoming and just stared at the Rockies for God knows how long. Quiet, wind, the sun and the mountains. To high energy types that’s “totally boring dude!”, but I felt at peace, and content.

        1. I know that tranquility. You can also find that same envirnment if you look at your cellular coverage maps. Find the nearest ‘blind spot’ that no carrier has coverage. That will also no doubt be remote from any city where you will notice there’s no ‘city buzz’ in the air or vibrating the ground. Every city has a cacophonic ‘buzz’ that you are unaware of until you get away from it. You can feel the difference.

        2. Heh, yep. And where is the largest lack of coverage in these united States? Wyoming, Montana, parts of Colorado.

        3. You’d be more content if you let me fuck you xxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        4. We could be totally boring dudes together 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

        5. Let’s go on a road trip 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

        6. Never change Jeffy, you’re perfect just the way you are xxxx😍😜😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

      2. “In the past year I’ve done two things I never thought would happen – quit drinking and got married”
That’s funny — I’ve quit marriage and got drinkin’. Much better this way.

        1. I got to keep five thousand dollars of mine’s credit card debt. Small price to pay, in the long run.

      3. Same here for the most part, almost 31 and I’ve chased money all over in the oil field and bought nice useless shit that only breaks down when you need it and got myself in trouble with the IRS and not having the right write offs while being single with no dependents. Looking forward to buy 50 to 80 acres back in bama within the next year and going back to living simply and teaching welding while having a mini farm and getting into new hobbies around the house which is way nicer than being on the road chasing a dollar or two for shit I don’t need. I’m gonna try my hardest to stress that to my high school students.

        1. Can I have some of whatever drug you’re taking please, it sounds fabulous xxx

      4. Ok. I was married, raised 2 great kids, and my perspective being almost 20 years your senior is that all I need can fit into a 17 liter backpack. The rest is just non-essential fluff and bullshit. Anyone who tells me I need anything other than the clothes on my back, a way to communicate with you men out there, an the wealth I’ve acquired (which is stored between my two ears) is just selling me something. I don’t need it. I don’t want it. And I’m now as free as an eagle.
You gave up drinking. Well done. But, I’ve given up women. There has been nothing more debilitating in my 30 adult years that the female sex. And nothing more a waste of my precious time and money than pursuing sex with females! Without the need or desire for women, I’m a free man.
What’s happiness? I say life is consciousness. If I can change that by the way I think, the drugs I do or do not take, the healthy state I put my body and mind in, etc, then that’s my wealth and fortune. Happiness is not money, possessions or wine or women. It’s my satisfaction with me, myself and I. And to be honest, I’m pretty please with where I’m at and what I’ve accomplished. And, no one can take that from me. Modern marketing did it’s job on me. But I saw through the lies a long time ago and have rejected what most people spend their lives chasing.
        That, my friend, is contentment.

        1. ” And nothing more a waste of my precious time and money than pursuing sex with females! ”
Good points made, yet man still beeds to dump his load, so he cant just write off females entirely. Have you given up sex entirely?

        2. No. If it chases me and I’m in the mood, i’ll indulge my fleeting passions. But I’m at the place in life (maybe just old age) where have no appetite for it. Therefore I don’t pursue it. It’s a level of freedom that’s hard to explain until you experience it.

        3. “No. If it chases me and I’m in the mood, i’ll indulge my fleeting passions. But I’m at the place in life (maybe just old age) where have no appetite for it”
I’m in the same boat as you. I’m merely saying that for most men, unless they know the experience of plugging a young hot chick and get enough of it, they tend to continue to make it an overly important part of their lives. I’ve seen many thirsty fifty somethings acting uber beta because they have not gotten enough quality tail in their lives

      5. I find contentment a desirable state of mind to achieve (notice I wrote achieve and not pursue). You can pursue happiness, or rather the things you think (or know) will make you happy, and even achieve it for a while, but as with any high, it’ll wear off. Neurochemistry 101.
Contentment or joy is a different matter. A mature state of mind achieved after accumulating wisdom where you can be content anytime regardless of circumstances. That doesn’t mean you have to live like a monk and forgo material pleasures (including sex), it just means to don’t make it a dominating feature of you life. Eating to live as opposed to living to eat.

    4. Top or bottom? Come on, dont keep a man in suspenders! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

    5. Hello Jeffy xxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    6. Love you soulmate xxxxxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😉😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    7. Love you big boy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    8. Beautiful man 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    9. And the 40s is when you realize that your time on earth is limited, and that reproduction is how you live on.
And if you do not reproduce, you need to find some other meaning in this world.
In 20 years there’s going to be a lot of men looking to get married OR trying to become Teslas.

      1. I’m working on the latter. Although by the look of it I’ll end up some kind of Travis Bickle.

        1. Why are you so despondent? You have to grasp the reins of life firstly and then master her like a Lord. Good men like you should not go quietly into that night without leaving behind your own descendants.

        2. Bah ! Descendants wouldn’t be necessarely as great as me and even if they were I wouldn’t find any confort in this fact, since I take pride in only what I accomplish myself, not in the deeds of my ancesters nor in the potential ones of my descendants.
And kids make you a man with too much to lose.
Some of us are not meant to procreate and I’m fine with that. I don’t think I’ll go quietly into that night though.

      2. So much truth. I love this site for reading things like this. Epiphany moment “OMG yessss this is what *I* have been thinking/saying for years!”
Sadly, I’m slowly coming to accept I may never reproduce; every guy I know (NO exceptions) that has reproduced, only to get divorce-raped and then have his kids weaponised against him in every conceivable way. Sure, one day they may evaluate and come to him, reflecting in shame whilst saying “I believed her dad. I had no reason not to”.
But by then, he’s lost and was absent for the best, most formative years of their life.
I’d rather NOT reproduce, than deal with that fkd up sh.t. 🙁
I may not have kids, but I know that when I die, I can have this carved into my headstone, in the quiet satisfied knowledge that it is 100% true:
“Here lies David Addison. His life made a difference”

      3. >In 20 years there’s going to be a lot of men looking to get married OR trying to become Teslas.
I believe you’re right. We make fun of old ladies with cats, but I doubt all men going their own way will have the internal fortitude to all become wise men, or Teslas as you call it. Some will degenerate along the way for sure.

    10. Enjoy reading your comments , but somebodies got to close the windows ,a couple of shitflies entered the house

      1. It’s a troll. I’m surprised the mods haven’t hammered it yet.

        1. I’d like to hammer you hot stuff xxxxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

    11. “If hedonism doesn’t hit the spot, and I’m fully in agreement that it doesn’t, there are other paths to explore”
I hear ya. What are some examples of other paths?

    12. Hedonism always ends in despondency and that peculiar type of low grade slavery and subjection to the passing whims and vanities of the world. It’s pathetic to see man well passed their prime who sink into this oblivious spiritual somnambulism in their later years.

  11. I wish the media would read this article so they can truly understand us and Roosh!

  12. Good essay Roosh. As a man hurtling towards senility I will say that I enjoy my sons and looking back on my life they are the one thing that I did right. I really enjoy children. When I go out with my wife and see young children they always blow away the self-absorbed stress of living. I realize it’s because they live in the now and observing that I share it too. Always they remind me of the good times I had with my kids when they were toddlers.
I encourage all of you to become fathers and I wrote an essay advising young women to have children while young and fertile because they can always get a damn job :
Girls! The Work-Life Balance Plan the Feminists Don’t Want You to Know
    http://wp.me/p6QFjS-3B
I have a genealogy book from my mom’s Mormon family. Page after page of men with their wives and 14 children. Each should be sub-titled : This is what happens to men who have no access to porn.

    1. If I wrote essays like Roosh I’m sure I wooyld have graduated muddle school with flying colours xx

    2. I read your article. Some valid points I think, despite my own personal path being completely different. I am the female half of a very successful, childless couple. Neither of us wanted children and we don’t regret that decision, but high powered careers are highly over rated, for both men and women. We were corporate slaves through most of our 20s and 30s, but theses days we are “calling it in” career wise and gain much more satisfaction being involved with the community through volunteering etc… By 50 we will both be Walmart greeters if all goes well. You start and finish your working life in the same place lol! In any event, despite being the “high powered career woman”, I consistently tell young women “if you really want what I have, fine and dandy, but if having a family is your priority, your career can wait. Your ovaries are on a much tighter schedule. A ‘career’ is nothing more than a high paying, highly demanding job.” As much as I think the original intent of feminism was beneficial to everyone, we women might have wanted to consult the men folk at just how satisfying corporate slavery really was before demanding the right to pursue it lol!

  13. I, the Preacher, have been king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my mind to seek and explore by wisdom concerning all that has been done under heaven. It is a grievous task which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. I have seen all the works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind. . . I said to myself, “Behold, I have magnified and increased wisdom more than all who were over Jerusalem before me; and my mind has observed a wealth of wisdom and knowledge.” And I set my mind to know wisdom and to know madness and folly; I realized that this also is striving after wind. Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain. . .I said to myself, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure. So enjoy yourself.” And behold, it too was futility. I said of laughter, “It is madness,” and of pleasure, “What does it accomplish?” I explored with my mind how to stimulate my body with wine while my mind was guiding me wisely, and how to take hold of folly, until I could see what good there is for the sons of men to do under heaven the few years of their lives. I enlarged my works: I built houses for myself, I planted vineyards for myself; I made gardens and parks for myself and I planted in them all kinds of fruit trees; I made ponds of water for myself from which to irrigate a forest of growing trees. I bought male and female slaves and I had homeborn slaves. Also I possessed flocks and herds larger than all who preceded me in Jerusalem. Also, I collected for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces. I provided for myself male and female singers and the pleasures of men—many concubines. . .Then I became great and increased more than all who preceded me in Jerusalem. My wisdom also stood by me. All that my eyes desired I did not refuse them. I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure, for my heart was pleased because of all my labor and this was my reward for all my labor. Thus I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold all was vanity and striving after wind and there was no profit under the sun. . . Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me. And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? . . . When there is a man who has labored with wisdom, knowledge and skill, then he gives his legacy to one who has not labored with them. This too is vanity and a great evil. . . There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God. For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him? For to a person who is good in His sight He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God’s sight. This too is vanity and striving after wind. . . I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot.. . . Go then, eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works. Let your clothes be white all the time, and let not oil be lacking on your head. Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward in life and in your toil in which you have labored under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. . . The words of wise men are like goads, and masters of these collections are like well-driven nails; they are given by one Shepherd. But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body. The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
(This has been a futile attempt to condense the wisdom of the book of Ecclesiastes. I highly recommend reading the entire book)

  14. To where is a man to look if there is no hope in this world? Roosh you have already hit on this facet several times, but all of it comes from within a man. We are programmed to know what is natural and what is not, but every year the elites are changing our biology with all the social hive-mindedness, chemicals in food and drink, and the general despair they emanate from their stone cold televisions.
There must be internal revolutions before an external movement can ever change this pseudo-dystopia. Big things have small beginnings. Perhaps when this is all over, because I know it will be someday, humans can circumvent these unfortunate set of circumstances from ever occuring again, as I have noticed through nature that the existence of all things is spiralic, not cyclical, on a long enough timeline, so it does not have to happen again.
There are only two outcomes in the end, humans will get over this, or they won’t and our species will die out because of the ramifications of a few greedy banksters with sick, twisted minds.

  15. As a father of 3 boys and a girl, in my forties, the happy warrior approach is the way to go. God, church, family, sex, booze, standing your ground are part of my successful happy life.
There is a widening chasm between the mentality of social classes. The middle class is isn’t looking to discipline as much to better their lot. Thus, it’ll be harder to find and lock down that right one unless you find the 19 year old unicorn and be her guiding light out of the mire of crappy culture. They are out there, though. Keep looking.
Oh yeah, Roosh is right. Follow the success sequence: education, work, marriage, kids. No step skipping, and in order.
Thanks ROK, and cool community you’ve created.

    1. There has to be a hot 18 year old mute virgin out there somewhere.

        1. I have always thought that built into the very word “perfect” when applied to a woman is the fact that upon my orgasm she will dissapear into thin air.

        2. Want to blow my pole? 😜😜😜😜😜😜😝😝😛😝😜😍😘😛

    2. God, church, family, sex, booze, standing your ground
      Spot on.

      1. What type of sex Jeffy baby? 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜

        1. Not the kind that is common among the homosexual community. No, not enemas, feces eating or pederasty and/or pedophilia. Guess that kind of dampens your expectations. Question – is this really what you are “proud” about? You see, the disconnect between us and you is that we find homosexuality absolutely repulsive. Now, let me guess….here comes your response that I have latent homosexual desires, right? Help me out here. Because I just said that this repulses me. How is it possible for me to desire that which I am repulsed by and how do you know that I or any other poster here feels this way? Is it because you read minds? Magic? Latent homosexuality is very common among the homosexual community, so, I’m sure you see if often. Its common because those with latent homosexuality are homosexuals, duh. Its very ignorant of you to presume that the whole world is just like your little community. The sad truth is we find you disgusting. Why are you so proud? Why are you proud of not being able to control yourself? We respect self mastery, which starts with controlling emotions and urges (to include sexual urges). That gets respect. Why are you proud about being defiled sexually? No matter what kind of coy and flamboyant sounding response you give, nothing you say will ever get anyone here to “respect” you for being anally fucked by another man or men. Or shit on or whatever vile and disgusting things you do. Oh, and how can any person that identifies as a member of the human race ever be proud of molesting young children?

        2. Sorry, I read a little bit of that then realised how poorly written it was and decided not to read any more. And m not here for you, I’m here for Jeffy, although you can join in if you want to, you may enjoy it 😜😜

        3. Exactly, because reading is too challenging for you. Good stuff. You are a shinning example of the homosexual community.

        4. I’d like to molest you hot stuff, but only if you’re over eighteen, the majority of pedophiles do tend to be straight men xxx

        5. Just as challenging as critical thought seems to be for you pal 😜😜😜😜

        6. not to get too involved, but just from the start of your post where you talk about eating feces. This has always seemed odd to me. I mean, I assume that fags treat the asshole much the same way that I would treat a pristine vagina (you know, the kind that looks like a brand new shiny penny). When they smell shit do you think it is like a huge turn on for them? Like, oh my god….something smells like someone took a huge dump….hot…..if so, it is possible that being a fag is just some form of misfiring synapse, a crossed wire if you will, in the brain.

        7. Dude, I really don’t know. I’m not a homosexual. I do know that homosexuals are very promiscuous, which is to say that they can’t control themselves. I’ve heard from nurses that homo’s can lose control over their bowels over time. They’re so addicted and consumed by sex they literally get fucked to the point they involuntarily shit themselves. And pedophilia and homosexuality are hand and glove. All of this is well known among the homosexual community, but, kept well outside of the mainstream. We are suppose to believe homo’s are innocent little stuffed animals. In reality they harbor, by far, the worst and highest rates of diseases and all kinds of abuse. Child abuse being the worse, of course, but generally speaking domestic abuse in homosexual “relationships” is also much higher. Point – we really don’t have a complete and honest idea of what homosexuality really is. Instead we get “will and grace” versus bug chasers, antibiotic resistant STDs etc. NARTH and Ryan Sorba are great resources to study-up and understand what’s really happening.

        8. That was a fight? Doesn’t a fight involve an argument rather than just bile you’ve retrieved off the interwebs?
And I bet you’d enjoy it really, once you fuck buttcrack you never go back 😍😍😍😜😜😜😜

        9. I could lick your arsehole and then we’d find out sexy bum xxx😝😝😝😝😝

        10. Your writing just wasn’t challenging enough darling. More James Patterson than Bulgakov darling, must try harder D- for literary style but A+ for being a knob xxx

    3. I was typing a response, but your post resonated exactly what I was thinking. Agree completely.. the happy warrior approach is the only way to live. Actually I understand the dispare of our motley crew, but despite our small band our enemies fear us beyound our strength in numbers. Truth is on our side. In fact, we have already won.

    4. “Happy warrior.” I like that, good adjective. Definitely a good indicator of how I carry myself and live my life.

  16. As far as women go, we are doomed. I’m 24 and open cuckoldy is in full swing, least from what I see. I’ve not dated exclusively in a couple years, and at this point can see no reason to do it ever again.
It’s been a long time since I’ve fucked a single girl

        1. No, I stand by what I said, you’re posting on return of kings so Id say your chances of ever getting any are very very slim…

        2. Yeah I know, but you seem to believe this nonsense and I dont, which is where we differ….

        3. Because it’s interesting to learn an alternate point of view.
And I quite enjoy laughing at you daft bastards, it’s wonderful entertainment…

        4. To troll. If he sees opinions he doesn’t agree with he silences them through yelling and spam. He’s a censoring leftist like all the rest of them.

        5. I wouldn’t censor you ever Jeffy, only when my cocks throbbing in your mouth as you gently suck it then swallow done my big juicy load. Cum’s great for the skin, dontcha know? 😜😜😜😜😜😣😜😝😝😘😍😍😘😘😝😜😍😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛

  17. My friend Eon56, you don’t know what you don’t know you are missing. You mustn’t give up. Wars are not won when the battle settles, they are won when the one side surrenders and refuses to fight on. We need all the edgy, confident ROK members we can get. A meet up would help. I don’t have a solution though to that…yet

  18. “Was it all a waste? Was it all for vanity? ”
No. Its as simple as you are aging. Your animal instincts of monogamous reproduction are kicking in.
The problem is our society looks down upon that kind of instinct. The system works against you as a male forcing you to swim uphill. If you decide to settle down do so wisely. If you choose to have kids do so with the understanding that you want to have them.

  19. Strange times we live in. Some many possibilities, so many wonders, so little meaningful things to do.

  20. In times of prosperity men are good (beta) and women bad – it’s vice versa in hard times.

  21. Know a friend who has done much and after observing others it seems to be, of all things there is nothing greater than having a child. I know it is frowned on because of the culture Western women have been afforded of divorce rape and such, but there is something unequivocally enlightening as knowingly bringing another life into the world. This is not a dig at any one who doesn’t have one yet but there just seems to be a finalized joy from continuing the species that drugs, threesomes, 8 biology, socio-economic degrees can yield. Family, community, and tradition. Those are what last and keep humanity as the beautiful frontrunners for the Earth that we are.

  22. Roosh, have you read the book of Ecclesiastes? Its a short read, but you might like it. All is vanity, striving to catch the wind.

    1. I second that, it’s a powerful read.
“Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth…”

      1. Hey, I need your advice- my beard is starting to go grey but it’s only like 6 hairs that are gray so far, so I should probably tweeze them because it just kinda makes me look like a freaky albino mutant, or something like that. How many gray hairs should I have before I just let it be?

  23. I love this from the article:
    “Dedicate yourself to God
Find a woman and have a big family with her
Give back to your community and make people’s lives better”
Living this way is possible, even in this world of negativity and anger. It is a simple way to live that goes against everything that is being said by our society today . . . so you know it is right!

  24. “Vanities of vanities, all is vanity ” as it is written in Ecclesiastes by King Solomon . I am very glad to see Roosh come to the point In life where he can himself say this.

  25. Divorce rate is the same inside the church as outside the church. If you get religious don’t do it for a woman. Do it for your own personal reasons. Tradcons are always trying to paint the picture of the ideal wife that can be found through religion. Then marriage fails and credibility is lost. If poosy brings you to religion, poosy will take you out of religion. That poosy is not an angel that god has sent you. Its a poosy.

    1. Want to know how to lower divorce rates? Wait until marriage to have sex. The marital success rate of people who do is over 90%.

    2. The church is no longer the Church as founded by Christ’s direction. While I can’t speak for the Orthodox, the rest seem to be in direct contradiction to God’s word. Meaning, it’s little wonder that there’s no longer any difference in rates.

      1. Oh Jeffy, now gay marriage is legal, do you want to do it in a church or elsewhere? You’re choice, anything for you my love xxx

      2. Oh Jeffy 😜😜😜😜😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

      3. As a side note, It’s always been my belief that Churches (buildings) aren’t needed for faith. Church, it would seem, for the faithful is in session at all times in the heart.

        1. There is truth there (not opinion). The body of believers are the Church. Now, are there practical reasons for gathering spaces etc.? Of course, but they are not necessary each and every time they pop up here and there and everywhere.
          Baby, bathwater…you know…

        2. Two Christians talking together makes a church.
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20

        3. Can we reference together Jeffy? I prefer the Harvard system but we can use any type you like my little popinjay xxxxxxx😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😍😘😍😘😛😘

        4. 😘🍁🌳🌿🍂🌞🌻🍄🍄😍😍🍃🌝🌜🌲🌴🌼🌹🌺💐😍🌾🍄🍃🌜🌲🌴😘🍁🌳🍂🌞🌻🌵🌵🍄🍄🍃🍃🍃🌲🌴🌴🌼🌱🌺💐😍😜😜🍄🌾🌾🍃🌝🌜😝🌴🌴😘🍁🌿🍂🍂🌻🌵🌵🍄🍄🌾🌾🍃🌝🌜🌲🌴🌼🌼🌺😛😍😜😜🍄🌞🌿🌲🌴🌼

      4. 1. Rates are not the same inside vs outside the Church.
        2. Can you elaborate on your statement re church being in contradiction? There are many angles one could take here – where are you coming from?

        1. Fair points. The Protestant churches are by and large utterly corrupt. The Catholic church since Vatican II has been severely compromised (not just my opinion, all Trad Caths will tell you as much). I can’t speak for the Orthodox, having no experience in them.
With the Protestant, well, just go to some services. The hardest “traditional” of them are Lutheran and they’re utterly lost. Don’t get me started on Episcopalians or Methodists. The common theme seems to be “let’s make it a circus, bow to women and make gays and women into priests” with them nowadays. To be fair, I don’t know how the Southern Baptists are doing, maybe they escaped the Circus Church.

        2. I can’t speak for Methodists, but Episcopalians are definitely screwed up. I’m not Episcopalian, but I have a gig singing on Sundays at the Episcopal church in my town, and it is the biggest bastion of gays, weak men, masculine women and SJWs I have ever seen.

        3. Methodists have women and, I think, gay preachers. That tells me all I need to know.

        4. So I’ve heard from actual real life men (men in my estimation, not just the word “men”). The problem is finding one around my parts.

        5. “The Catholic church since Vatican II has been severely compromised..”
You are not wrong there, but I find alot depends where the local priest stands and how he guides accordingly. The more liberal they are, the emptier the church.

    3. I agree with what you are saying, generally. I can get on board with not building your life around a woman. However, the divorce rate inside of the church is markedly lower than outside. Even lower again amongst those who practice their beliefs.

      1. Marriage rates outside the church are lower but out of wedlock partnerships and births are higher. Churches tend to foister a herd like atmosphere. When women open their mouths and become big and boisterous in the church, they get fat and put on these big ‘church lady’ hats. Then one or two of the fat ones proclaims how she’s divorcing her hubby. She isn’t silenced and the divorce becomes epidemic in the congregation. It becomes infectious. Get your family outta there ASAP. Usually it’s either a witch or a harlot to blame. You have to play ‘find the hiding whore’ in many a church now before you entrust the place with the presence of your family.

      2. Religious girls make more fidel /reliable brides. You are right.
Also, marriages with virgin brides (i.e. religious girls who practiced abstinence) are statistically happier, have more enjoyable sex, produce more children, and are more likely to last for life.

        1. Through your local church-going community. If you don’t go to church, tough luck!
The next best thing to a religious bride from your home country is importing a poor traditional girl from SE Asia. They’re fidel and chaste in the same manner, and an easy alternative.

        2. The local library, computer lab at a university… anywhere drinks are not served.

  26. Instead of all this gloomy pessimism from an implicit Judeo-Christian perspective, why don’t you folks just read Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics? As well as some Lucretius and Epicurus for good measure. Much finer minds than the simpleton Biblical writers have addressed and resolved this issue millennia ago

    1. Totally agree with this. So many people neglect Philosophy because they think its worthless or useless. But to be honest there is so much discourse that needs to be had that is based around many excellent Philosophical topics. Some of my favorites are obviously Aristotle and Socrates, but also Locke, Hume, Kant, some Descartes, Aurelius, Nietzsche, Spinoza, Rousseau, Russell and so many more I am neglecting to list. The various branches offer so much knowledge and ideas. I recently have looked more into the analytic philosophers such as Betrandt Russell and Frege, but also really enjoy pragmatism as well. Its a lifetime’s worth of work and study, but the enrichment is absolutely worth it!

  27. Snap out of it man ! It’s fucking war. It’s fucking hard, but here we all are – red pillers, MGTOW’s, masculine, neomasculine and the rest of morons that troll around here. There’s no coincidence. Get back on the engine and floor it to the max. There are young men here with huge potential with no fucking idea how to cash in on it. And believe me once we make the money, our communities will benefit from it surely. We’re soldiers, cultural and spiritual because that’s the battleground now, we’re here. Point fingers, differentiate ,,us” from ,,them”, construct groups, construct virtue in said groups, elaborate general objectives- the groups will tailor those objectives to their local wars. That’s they way my man. I think one of ROK’s writers, Michael Sebastian – if I’m not mistaken, can elaborate on plan constructed by a true virtuous man who was strangled ( literally ) by the j3wish elite in Romania – later declared executed. His name, well…is Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. That man constructed a method in which he invited God among his own people and he named his group the Legion of Archangel Michael, later forming into the Iron Guard.
Check out this info : ,,In the New Testament Michael leads God’s armies against Satan’s forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan. In the Epistle of Jude Michael is specifically referred to as “the archangel Michael”. Christian sanctuaries to Michael appeared in the 4th century, when he was first seen as a healing angel, and then over time as a protector and the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil.” But do be advised on writing articles containing this guy’s name. Even saying this guy’s name out load in some Romanian areas gets you being looked at very strangely – although he was a pure nationalist.
P.S. – I also found this info on wikipedia english – I find it very weird – ,,He began openly calling for the destruction of Jews,[69][70] and, as early as 1927, the new movement organized the sacking and burning of a synagogue in the city of Oradea.[71] It thus profited from an exceptional popularity of antisemitism in Romanian society: according to one analysis, Romania was, with the exception of Poland, the most antisemitic country in Eastern Europe.[72]”
    God bless us, gentlemen !
    Cheers ! J.

  28. Roosh, that would have been a good opportunity to encourage your cousins to form tribes and attract others to join. Later in life when they pursue families, discuss with them that the west is a treacherous place for the traditional family. Many families are alone in a sea of sharks. Families are menaced by the feminist assasins, the divorce rape industry mobsters, the fat lesbian brainwashers in the schools, the shit talking statist see something say something nibby neighbor – the list goes on. If only more people and families assembled themselves as tribes which are bonded by the drive to preserve culture, family, tradition without the oversight of elitist regulation like the femboob civic clubs and the state policed churches. If only your brahs in the tribe had your back when a clusterfuck comes around to reap on another family. Your cousins, young and aspiring are at an age when they can put such issues on the burner early on. Leave it to their imagination how they propose to survive and carry their families and tradition into the future and hurl themselves through the barrage of anti male and anti family assaults we see today. MAN IS ON THE RETURN and the enemy knows it.

  29. Roosh you sound exactly like King Solomon. Solomon’s writings in Ecclesiastes say much the same. Solomon however comes to the solution of his problems in the last few verses of the book.

  30. “Pursuing external experiences, objects, or sex with beautiful women made me joyous but only for a short period of time, and then I returned back to the same emotional level. Was it all a waste? Was it all for vanity? Whatever the answer, I surely can’t advise my young cousins to pursue hedonism”
The issue here Roosh, is that ‘pussy’ is a rite of passage. The only way to get tired of it and dedicate oneself to deeper things in life is when a man spends enough time banging enough skanks to where it hits critical mass; and only then will he adopt the “been there done them” perspective, and move on to more meaningful things in life.
Many men are loved starved and maybe have had sex a few times in their lives, and that sex was probably with some haggis ugly fattie in which he had to keep his eyes closed the while fucking and try to envision an attractive woman in his head; a good definition of hell on Earth if you ask me.
And it doesn’t matter if the guy is in his 40’s. If he has not had enough sex with young, attractive females (not fatties or pig vomit, or aged chewed up and barfed out spinster passed her prime), there is no way in convincing him that he should pursue other meaningful things in life when he has not passed through that sexual rite of passage phase that exists in every man.
I think the old British expression “sow your wild oats” makes a lot of sense because a man who has been raised to think the almighty vagina is his singularity cannot develop as a Human being unless he can put women in their proper place in his life. He has to get it out of his system. He has to realise that women are nothing special. He has to experience her beauty and the joy of dumping his load in her; as well he has to experience her period blood, pussy farts, her bullshit games, and her inability to love no one but herself. In short, a man has to experience the good, the bad, and the ugly of the hormonal driven beast.
Sadly most men will never be able to say they ‘banged a bunch of hot chicks and are tired of it’. They will constantly be fed a bunch of mainstream bullshit with a carrot hanging in front of them, competing with other uber betas for sex with fuckin ugly feminized bitches.

  31. sounds like a man in search of a purpose. religion won’t give it to you, take it from someone who left the ministry.
your post reads dread and terror everywhere. that’s just not true.
honest question: have you done everything there is to do in each city with lots of friends?
have you built everything there is to build in each city?
don’t get boxed in and think you have seen all there is to see and do man.
the world is limitless place. don’t be limited by your at the moment thinking.

    1. Great comments! I think a lot of the whining and gloom around here is inspired by the dreary sad sack worldview of Christianity and perhaps some clinical depression. Ennui is the failure of imagination, and the manosphere should provide the antidote to this, rather than promote it and whining constantly. It didn’t used to be like that

      1. preciate it man. I second that my friend. I don’t know when it happened but it has been a lot of that lately.
there’s so much out here to do and experience that you will never do and experience it all in one lifetime. an entrepreneur friend of mine once told me “when I first started I was motivated to get really nice car, then I got that and found that people with nice cars had really nice homes, so that motivated me next. I got a really nice house, and found out the some people with really nice houses had boats, so I got a boat, then I realized some people with yachts owned fucking skyscrapers, and those people owned private islands, and it’s no telling what is there is after all that. all it let me know is that there is always more to do and see. life is only as short as your vision.”
learning to leave me comfort zone and meet new people and see things from their pov, opened many new doors and experiences in life for me.

  32. I’m in my early twenties and living in the most liberal state of America. I have been constantly attacked for my speech since childhood. But the one thing I learned is that, as long as I’m never sorry for my expression of testosterone, hot women always stick around while the uglies remain in their trivial criticism and self hate. Just like Jesus, the women in your life will follow you to your persecution with loyalty because you choose to own it. Though a death has been issued upon you; the crowd becomes enlightened by the demonstration of a man’s will and symmetry.

  33. The essence of humanity is struggle. Without struggle, our lives have no meaning; this is human nature. This goes back to the idea that I’ve read here before, that a man must have a mission. The problem with all your missions in the article is that you completed them. You traveled, you banged women, you achieved fame. Missions complete. Unfortunately, a life without struggle is a life without meaning, and by completing your missions you ended those struggles.
A lack of a mission or a struggle of some kind is what leads people to depression and escapism (or alternatively, when they decide that their struggle is impossible to complete). It doesn’t have to be a literal struggle, for some it is (as you said) dedicating themselves to a religion, for some it is literally fighting other people, for some it is building a giant corporation, and for some it could be as simple as trying to even slightly improve the lives of others. Whatever you choose for your mission, you must have something. Otherwise, like some sharks, if you stop swimming you will drown.

    1. Top post of the thread. Wish I would have said that.

    2. You’re absolutely right, but what you state is half of the equation. Unfortunately, if life is a constant struggle, then even the strongest and most stoic men finally break. By the ‘constant struggle’ I mean a life where the individual is constantly fighting just to survive and stay afloat, as opposed to being able to meet basic necessities of life, and have a chance to develop intellectually, spiritually, health wise, etc.
So a life devoid of struggle leads to depression and escapism, no doubt, but a life full of too much of it utterly destroys the soul, and makes even the toughest of men put the barrel of a .45 1911 at the top of the inside of the mouth, and pull the trigger.

      1. You miss the point. There can be no such thing as too much struggle as long as one has his wits about him. You cannot pick a fight with the world or commit crimes without suffering; that is not struggle.

        1. On the contrary … you’re missing the point, or completely missed the point. If, through bad luck and circumstance (and trust me, there is such thing as bad luck and terrible circumstances), you’re fighting just to stay alive … i.e. just to have food in your stomach and a roof over your head; if all your energy is expended in basic survival, well, frankly, such a struggle is not worth it, and utterly pointless. This is precisely why some courageous and intelligent men see the futility of such a scenario and end it.
Point being: too much struggle is as detrimental and meaningless as its opposite. What’s the ideal balance? Well, certainly a state where the individual is not fighting for every inch of territory, so to speak, just to meet basic needs, or just to stay alive.

  34. I think the biggest hurdle we younger guys have to overcome is the fact that most of us are going to wind up genetic dead ends, regardless of whether we want to be or not. Things might simply be too FUBAR in the west regardless if nationalism comes into power, and the advantages you older guys have had in EE, SA and SEA will likely not be available for us. Nothing is set in stone, of course, but it usually seems that the pessimistic outlook is the one that winds up being right.

    1. Lots of us father types are fighting for you jz, and we have some level of influence in the legal systems, at least for now.

      1. You entitled white male bastard…it will be a great day when patriarchal cunts like you no longer have that influence….your kind is what is wrong with this planet….entitled fucking men fucking it all up for the sake of their manhood and patriarchy…go fuck yourself and suck a goat.

      2. Looks like you’ve picked yourself up a pathetic faggot and an angry banshee. Just need the token black guy to finish the (un)holy trinity.

    2. My best advice would be to stay positive. History is cyclical and in modern times these cycles tend to go quickly. Do not lose confidence. If your views of society are always negative than you must make a change. Break the cycle that you live in.

        1. I could throw an idiom out there but whats its purpose. You make the decisions and if you don’t want to make the harder ones than the SJWs and government will for you.

  35. Those of us 27+ at least had a chance to gain a foothold in the economy. The younger guys <24 are facing a complete shitstorm

  36. I recall going through a similar period in my life. I had reached the point where I had accomplished most if not all of my more vain goals and hit a wall. I felt lost since many around me had turned into underlings or had lost all youthful ambitions entirely. I would get the “must be nice” response from those i attempted to guide and after sometime I finally realized what my issue was. I had in fact lost touch with my ambitions beyond a very focused routine of living the high life with euro chicks in America.
It is easy to fall into a life of leisure and excess in America if you are above average in intelligence, appearance and personality. Far too easy which is what was my wake up call. If something is easy it means you are not developing anything but bad habits and weakness. I got away from this environment entirely as a result. Trading my urban food delivery and fresh arrival fucks for a more rugged lifestyle in a quasi rural setting. I did not go balls out rural and off grid cause that would have forced me back to square one. Baby steps.
Roosh, I encourage you to ask yourself what you cannot do or do well and attack it with the same intensity that made you create these forums. For me it was lithography, circuitry, and painting. The idea of struggle validating ones life is completely true. It is your life and as a grown man you make your own decisions. Society has created armies of failed men

    1. Living a rural life, even if your wealthy, seems to keep many (myself included) far more grounded. It’s so easy to get caught up in the “fake” world of the cities and find yourself sucked into a world of pure vanity. The world of cities is so tuned towards women today that, living there as a man, you feel the need to fit in. And, frankly, you have nothing that really matters to spend your money on. When I’m in NYC or SF and see men shopping at designer clothing stores I just shake my head. Buying man purses and shoes at LV is one step away from buying tampons at CVS.
Get outside, pick up a chainsaw/gun/fishing rod or just put on a pair of hiking shoes/skis/etc. Most men will find themselves far more comfortable there than sitting in a cafe somewhere talking with their friends about the guy a table over and the clothes he’s wearing. Cities turn a lot of men into women, IMHO. There a great place for finding easy bangs, and, if you’re the apex predator, you may have a lot of fun using the sluts and betas around you for your own purposes. But, if you’re not the apex guy (and most of us aren’t), there’s not much you get from the city that you wouldn’t get in Podunk.

      1. Get outside, stick your little cock in a goat….your fear of wimmin is duly noted….you are a prime example of toxic masculinity…..manboy bitch.

      2. I have to agree. I can’t say that those I know who strictly lived in rural areas were sophisticated, because they weren’t, but real masculinity is much more typical as well as raising boys at a young age to be self-reliant.
I’ve met “city” guys who can’t change a flat tire on their car, while “country” guys at times I’ve know could swap out a car’s transmission or rebuild an engine.
Getting outside and “doing” often makes all the difference in the world.

  37. “It will take the mentality of a warrior to defeat the forces that want to hold us back today…” – but hasn’t that always been true?
Perhaps there’s a difference today that now man’s own society has become his enemy instead of his neighbor, but life has always been a battle and always will be.

  38. Not to detract from your post, but are there any updates on the case with s. jane gari? I’m itching to know whats gonna happen to that nutbar!

  39. I chose the spiritual path, it gives me purpose and meaning in life, nothing else can satisfy me.

  40. Read the article; got a bit depressed (sage words though, Roosh). Then scrolled down to the comments and immediately cheered up. Being a part of the RoK community and having such reassurance and wisdom-for-life being shared amongst us truly raises one’s spirits. Thank you all, gentlemen.

    1. Flail around being attention whores, shitting all over everything and everybody with a complete disregard for manners or how others might be bothered by them, until they destroy the social order?
      Yep, sounds about right.

    2. oh, and you poor little loser manboys don’t spew your misogynistic and homophobic bile all over the net? fucking hypocrite douchetard….now suck my cock.

      1. I don’t really see the point of trolling here. Pretty much anything these guys says is the truth. Go troll to places that deserves it, me I troll on anime site.

  41. maple syrup & bacon… Blue Sky, sandy beach. Waves rolling along the shore. Tanned ladies, maybe have a few friends, a good job, and peace. Vote with your $$ and keep your ammo dry for that rainy day.

  42. yeah right….find god….what, you going back to your hypocrite homo mohammed? Yeah, you are such a loser. No woman in her right mind would want to be your birthing slave. You have no business spreading your gospel of misogyny.

  43. Roosh, you can find meaning by adopting me. If you don’t mind raising a 37 year old? We can play video games together and talk about bitches.

    1. And you can jerk each other off, making sure each other’s jizz hits your faces…..you are the bitch, bitch…fucking little manboy bitch….man, I would love to pack your fudge.

  44. “Women Haters will attract low self-esteem women, as these are the only
women who will put up with being disrespected and used. Women Haters
will get laid often because they often come accompanied with a bad boy
attitude of false superiority that can be sexy to some women — for a
short period of time. Women Haters will struggle with intimacy and
opening themselves up to trusting a woman long enough to stay with her.
Instead, they will over-compensate with pursuing a quantity of
    connections over quality.”

  45. “Women Lovers are romantics. They imagine themselves as Casanovas or
Don Juans. They fantasize about love and dizzying nights of passion.
Women Haters are players. They imagine themselves as rock stars or porn
stars. They fantasize about sex and dominance, about women pleasing
    their every carnal desire.”
